Earth Science Fragrance Free Extra Gentle Shampoo - 12 oz

I have used this product for years with good results. Having chemical sensitivities has caused me to go fragrance free on all personal products and the shampoo satisfies my needs.

Great to keep my long hair conditioned without dues and perfume.

I bought it because it's fragrance free. It actually does have quite a strong smell to it (pleasant), I am assuming from the natural extracts in the product. I can tolerate the smell in this product. I did not smell it on my hair after it dried. If you are looking for a truly smell free product this is not it. It did bring out my natural curls which is a good thing for me and made my hair soft with body.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I started using this shampoo as well as the conditioner 2 years ago because I need fragrance free products. I have gray hair that is full and thick. It lathers and cleans well and leaves my hair manageable.My only issue is that if I use it too often it can have a drying effect on my hair. Would recommend it and I will keep using.

I am very pleased with this conditioner not only because it truly has no fragrance and no odor but also because it is effective, too. I bought more of the conditioner before I needed to because I was so happy with it.

This is an outstanding light conditioner! No added synthetic fragrance; no fragrance of any other kind added either! And the ingredients are overall very healthy. This is, in my opinion, a lighter conditioner (not overly moisturizing, just lightly moisturizing). It is super in that it doesn't leave any kind of greasy coating or residue on the hair. Just leaves it feeling clean.

Sodium myreth sulfate, the main cleanser in this product, is a sulfate, but from what I understand, it is a much milder sulfate than the more well known sodium laureth or lauryl sulfates. However, I have fine curly hair, so it is too harsh/drying for my particular hair. It strips it of too many natural oils and leaves it squeaking when I rinse it, which leaves my hair too dry and causes bad frizz (no matter what kind of moisturizer I follow it up with!). However, overall it is a very healthy shampoo as ingredients go, and the lack of fragrance is outstanding when it's so hard to find products without added synthetic fragrances, so I would think that most people shouldn't have any sensitivity reactions to this product. I'll leave this bottle for my husband to finish up as the harsh cleanser won't overly dry out his hair - he has thick, strong hair that tends toward oiliness.
