I received Sony - WH-1000XM4 Wireless Noise-Canceling Headphones as a gift from my father-in-law. I'd been researching brands and models for months and finally asked for advice from someone more knowledgeable than me. My father-in-law decided he'd just buy me the same ones he bought for himself. The sound quality is phenomenal and the features included are fantastic. Super comfortable, durable and decent color selection. I love them!

Great Sound, But Glitch that destroys experience

I had them for 4 months before I experienced a really upsetting glitch. The headphones do not charge over 10% no matter how long on the charger. The largest issue with this is that it disallows me from initiating any updates which could cause later bugs and issues to not be addressed, and also just annoying because I constantly have to recharge soon. Additionally, I always have to hear the "low battery" notification upon turning the headphones on. Just a bummer since they were a pretty penny. Consulting online, it seems this is a unfortunately common issue. Other than that, the sound is absolutely beautiful, very immersive. My mouth actually flew and hung open the first time I listened to music through these headphones because of the unreal audio quality. The noise cancellation is well-performing also. Conferrable headphones that look sleek. The glitch is so unfortunate because I am interested in the xm6s but don't want to have the same issue again especially for such a hefty price.

Love! Just got these today. They connected to all of my devices so easily. I have been a long time user of over ear headphones from another popular brand. They broke after 8hrs and I got these as a replacement. They are so much better. The sound quality is great and the noise reduction is wonderful and they are so comfortable! After hours of research, I decided on the Sony WH-1000XM4. I was traveling and I needed something noise canceling. Everything is top notch for me with this headset. The fit is great. The sound is amazing. Truly noise canceling. I have recently started listening to audio books before drifting off to sleep. Even laying on a pillow the comfort is better than I could have asked for.

Fantastic sound quality. Noice cancelling does not work well outdoors or on a bus. They make a loud popping noise. I thought I had upgraded from 700 series, but that’s simple not the case. Same issue with flying.

These are 200 pounds and the battery broke within 2 months. Won’t charge anymore. Try to go to Sony support and it sends me to an AI chatbot - no other options. If you buy these they will break.

This product is inconsistent and I tried to exchange but was outside of the 30 day electronics return window. I realize that part is my fault. Target would not do anything for me which is a bummer. Dealing with Sony directly now which is fine but I don’t want another Sony product since I do not think they have consistent connectivity with Bluetooth. Overall disappointed Target wouldn’t provide an exchange at minimum.

Products have to be amazing or really bad for me to write reviews and these Sony headphones are awesome. SO comfortable, I can wear them for hours and forget I even have them on. The NC is fantastic, and as an introvert who dislikes noise and society in general :) this was very important for me! Easy to use and rarely need charging even though I use them every day. I'd wanted these for ages but waited until my Birthday (to justify the cost). Worth the wait and every cent. Only (very miniscule) minus is they are more beige than silver (but I can live with that as they still look nice). BIG bonus, I can't hear my heartbeat with them on as I have with other headphones and I love the storage case, it's very protective and stores everything nicely. The App is great too. Overall VERY happy with purchase.

This is a great headphone. I have been using it every single day and it has never stopped since 2021. The only thing I don't like about is the fact that when you are on a teams call it picks up background noises too. If it didn't then I would have given 4 stars The earpads are so comfy that it doesn't hurt my ears and the sound quality is awesome too.
