A: YES, it now has an added fragrance. see the photo of the ingredients list in my review.
submitted bytwin mom - 2 years agoA: The affresh® washing machine cleaner, dishwasher cleaner, coffee maker cleaner, cooktop cleaner, and ice machine cleaner do not have an added fragrance. Any noticed scent in these products is a byproduct of the ingredients. All of our stainless steel cleaning products and our cooktop cleaning wipes feature a fruit scent, while our machine cleaning wipes smell like lemongrass and our disposal cleaner leaves a citrus scent.

Q: Will this clean inside of the agitator of a top loading machine where the fabric softener goes in?

A: Some water with affresh enters the agitator, but the agitator mounted fabric softener dispenser remains largely uncleaned. The point at which you pour solution into the agitator is intentionally designed to maintain separation from the wash tub. Cleaning this entry point must be done manually. That said, the affresh solution does clean the agitator's underside/skirt and most of its interior. When used as directed, affresh will help keep the inside of your agitator in good working condition. Thank you for your inquiry!

Q: what if machine is older and doesn’t have a “clean machine” option

A: There are instructions on the package for how to run without a 'clean washer' cycle. Just note that the instructions are different depending on whether your machine is HE or Non-HE. In both cases, you should use hot water. For Non-HE, run a normal or heavy cycle. For HE, run whichever cycle is for the largest load / longest cycle (refer to use and care guide if this is not known or clear). Thank you for your inquiry!

Have a Maytag top loader with the "Clean with Affresh" setting. Purchased the cleaning tablets to clean our washer before prepping cloth diapers. Our washer is not quite a year old and didn't have any residue to wipe up after, but I do feel it cleaned our washer and it gave me piece of mind before putting items in after to wash.

Afresh washing machine pods
They were in not in pods form and didn’t clean my washer as expected. I wouldn’t recommend this brand since they don’t take ownership of it.

Doesn’t work do not waste your money
Tried several packages and none of them worked, after two boxes and running numerous cycles the smells is still in washer

If your clothes have little brown chunks it's past time to clean your washer. My whole life ive never had chunks on my clothes but these new HD machines are not like the ones growing up! It's disgusting to see what's under the agitator so just these alone aren't going to help you need to take your washer apart and get the build up out
