Apple AirPods Max are amazing headphones! So beautiful in person and small and sleek. The Midnight color is beautiful! Battery life is great, transparency and noise cancellation are great. Functional buttons on the top of one headphone very convenient for switching modes and adjusting volume. Call quality and microphone are great. I think the magnetic case is minimal and sleek. I bought them on sale for $100 off, definitely worth the price! Apple knocked it out of the park with Apple AirPod Maxes!

Bought 10/18/24 and the sound is already gone out. And of course the warranty was only for one year. For $600 the warranty should be longer and the sound definitely should NOT be going out so soon.

Defective, Non-Working on Arrival and Target No Help AT ALL
Would recommend NEVER buying something like this from Target. I wasn't aware of the 14 day return policy on Apple products and only opened these on the 15th day and found they do not work. Will not charge and will not connect. I want to return and Target refuses. Ridiculous given that they arrived defective. I wish I would have purchased them from another vendor. Not even sure they are authentic as the packaging was filthy, but sealed, and inside was dirty and they smell like mold. Really disappointed and again, don't buy this kind of item from Target.

Worst headphones
You spend $500 for headphones and it’ll have you convincing yourself they’re great. The truth is these are the worst headphones I’ve ever owned. They’re HEAVY, so much so I get headaches And they slide off of your head with even slight bending/ movement. For the price these are absolutely not it. Sure the sound cancellation is nice but you can get that from others for cheaper and without the headache.

If I could give zero stars, I would. I had a very disappointing experience at Target. I bought a sealed pair of AirPods Max, and when I opened the box, it contained completely different headphones. Instead of taking responsibility for this obvious issue, the staff kept sending me back and forth, even telling me to contact Apple, which made no sense since I purchased the product at Target. The customer service was extremely poor. I had to wait a long time, explain the situation multiple times, and no one seemed willing to properly help or take ownership of the problem. They eben hung up on me on the phone. It felt like they were trying to get rid of me rather than solve the issue. In the end, I was only offered an exchange, not a refund, and I didn’t even get the color I originally wanted. After all the stress and wasted time, this is simply not acceptable. This was honestly one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve had. I expected much better from a company like Target.

These Headphones Brought Great Sadness Into My Life.
I bought these headphones full price in 2022 after trying them on in store. I'd been struggling to find over-ear noise cancelling headphones that didn't give me a headache and fit my head well. When I first got these headphones, I didn't use them much, they were SO heavy. I eventually got used to that, but after a year or two the mesh on the headband gave out (it was saggy, the elastic did not hold up). This resulted in the hard part of the headphones resting on my skull and giving me a headache. You can buy a replacement headband, but I opted to just cover mine in foam and masking tape (this did the job). Fast forward to now (2026) and these $500 dollar headphones won't connect to any device anymore. They are no longer under warranty, so I’ve tried all the hacks I can find online. Nothing has worked. Plus, there’s not a way to use them wired in. S they are basically trash now. Although I think these headphones have excellent sound quality and the noise cancelling and transparency modes are great, I can't recommend them. If you're wealthy enough that $500 dollars for 4 years of headphone use is okay for you, I say go for it. If that's not you, I'd say buy something else and avoid sadness. Sometimes, things that are more expensive are worse.

FAKE!!
We just took these to an Apple Store to get cleaned. They informed us that these are FAKE!! We called target and they won’t do anything to fix it. Do not buy from target they are selling FAKE apple products!!
