over heats easily and slows down
Somehow the new phone is not performing as well as my old iphone 13 pro. Sometimes I have a lot apps running and the phone overheats extremely fast. Other times when I'm watching a video, the sound is out of sync with the pictures, it takes a while for the sound to get back to normal. I haven't had an issue like this with any of my devices for a long time. I've only had this phone for two months and it feels like I'm using an old device.

all better except for battery life
Seems like a good upgrade. Overall I don't think the battery lasts as long as previous phones did, but but everything else seems like an improvement in quality.

Another quality product from Apple!
The camera on this phone is incredible! Everything about the 16pro is top notch. The high standards that Apple has always maintained continue.

Worse than previous iphones. Skip the upgrade
Worse reception than 11pro or 13pro. Pass on this.

Thinking about upgrading? I regret it
If you love your current phone and are considering an upgrade, here is my experience. The operating system is basically the same as the iPhone 12, the ai is kind of cool and convenient in some of the apps. That said, the battery doesn’t really last as long as they say, but it’s pretty good. The unacceptable part, though, is that it almost never has service. I still have an iPhone 12 and I’ll have 5g someplace and the iPhone16 won’t have service. It’s brutal and I wish I could get my old phone back, because I paid a lot for this technology and I don’t need it if it has no service.

Hello George, we appreciate you taking the time to share your experience with your upgrade. We understand that upgrading a device can be of mixed feelings and that it takes time for the new device to fit one satisfaction and we are really sorry to hear that you are facing issue with it's cellular service on the iPhone 16 compared to your older iPhone 12, especially in 5G connectivity. This experience can be incredibly frustrating since consistent network service is essential for everyday phone use. We know that when upgrading we fully expect the new device to offer clear enhancements, but in your case, the main required improvement that is a reliable service is lacking, which is a fundamental downside, rest- assure we are here to check on what might be wrong with the iPhone 16 service and get it fix for you as soon as possible so that you can use your new device to its full potential, please complete our self- service form: https://www.att.com/get-support/?source=ILC208383817, where our team can contact you and get working on the service issue. In the meantime you can also try the troubleshooting steps to check if it makes any changes to the device: If you're experiencing service connection issues with your iPhone 16, here are some general troubleshooting steps you can follow: 1.Restart your device: A simple restart can resolve temporary software glitches. Turn off your iPhone, wait for a few seconds, and then turn it back on. 2. Reset Network Settings: This can help remove any misconfigured network settings that might be causing the issue. Go to Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Reset > Reset Network Settings. 3.Check for Carrier Updates: Ensure your device is running the latest version of iOS. Go to Settings > General > About to check for updates.

Beware if you use a typical car QI charging mat!
In terms of functionality, this phone is very good. The cameras function awesomely, and its processing power is amazing on higher demand apps. Unfortunately, there are some drawbacks: * as shipped the “button” on the lower right is too easy to press, and it defaults to turning on the battery draining camera. So, until you change the functionality of that button in settings (which is not hard to do), be prepared for many unexpected camera activations to drain your battery and leave you stranded with little or no battery power left. * if you use a QI charging mat (like found in most modern cars), you’ll find this phone cannot maintain enough contact to charge. This is due to the three camera lenses protruding from the phone far enough to leave a gap between the phone and the mat. The gap is small enough that most charging mats detect the phone and seem like they start charging … but then stop charging quickly because the gap is too large to maintain a solid enough connection between the phone and the mat. The same issue occurs with taller bedside chargers. If you have a shorter “standing” bedside charger, it will work if the phone’s camera lenses can rest above the top of the charger’s surface area. If not, we found that laying the phone sideways on such a charger does work. Overall, I’m happy with the phone, but the engineering of the phone’s camera form factor should have been thought out better. The UX team also need to pay a bit more attention to the software for the physical buttons … or at least change the default shipped settings for such.

ATT plays trick!!
I love the new iPhone 16 Pro and the new features. What got me by surprised was ATT blocking me the usage of my second virtual chip without warning when placing the order. BE AWARE! If you need to use a second eSim card you won't be able to unless you did not take advantage of their payment installment. Totally b s if you ask me. I've been an ATT costumer for almost twenty years and now I can't install my second phone number. Meaning, my beautiful new iPhone 16 is useless when I travel abroad. Bummer.
