  • A: HI Ann, you can use any standard sized mattress and box spring depending on the size of the bed you choose. For a full size bed, you need a full size mattress and box spring. For a queen size, it is a queen size mattress and box spring. We do recommend getting a low profile box spring, if possible. Thank you.

Q: To confirm - there will be enough clearance for a Roomba or Shark robot vacuum to go underneath the bed? Photos in the posting look doubtful the robot vacuum would clear.

How long should it last?

The bed is decent, but it's not very durable and can be heavy to move, especially if you live alone. I purchased it for my apartment and have generally enjoyed it, but there are some challenges when living solo with this bed. For instance, moving it is quite difficult; it’s heavy and feels cheaply made, which can lead to issues like pulling out the screws, as I experienced. Additionally, the middle metal bar is starting to bend, which is surprising since I'm not a heavy person. Lastly, be prepared to hear the slats creaking after the first year of use.

The bed was shipped in one box. When I opened the box, I only thought I had received the headboard. Upon further inspection, I realized all parts for the bed were in a zippered compartment behind the headboard. Assembled the bed and found that it is great quality, and looks wonderful when placed in the room. Thanks for your sense of style in helping me decorate one of my bedrooms.
