I love my 511i! I really have enjoyed using this product. I find the app super simple and convenient. I look forward being able to watch the light go from red to blue and show me in real time how clean my air is becoming. I have also noticed less congestion. We live / rent an older house and the air quality is not as good. I will be picking up a couple of more units here soon to help the whole house be a bit fresher and cleaner air for us to breathe!

But heres the thing the wifi set up isn't the greatest. I get why they would only want it on not the full throttle wifi but I dont have the option for wifi splitting so it just purifies rhe air really well. Can't really read anything on the air quality.

I had to buy this. And it helps and it makes me feel so snobby about air quality but i got so self conscious and aware about the particulate matter and household level of pollution it’s like I couldn’t breath anymore and was forced to purchase things.

As a first time buyer I’m very impressed with my 511i, unlike most other brand such as Shark, Blueair has the app that works great and it’s very convenient. Only down side is that after some time the device gets bit dirty and requires me to clean more often then usual. But least I know it’s doing exactly what it’s intended to do! Overall the 511i Max makes a great air purifier for any bedroom or nursing room!

my last blue air the motor burned up due to the fabric cover making it overheat. I returned it for that reason, and also the fabric cover is attached by a screw instead of just slipping it over it, both of which are not ok. also I would want an air purifier, not a digital anxiety, but just and on and off switch.

My son has asthma worsened with allergies. Before getting this filler he would cough all night in his room and have to use his nebulizer. Since we put this in his room he has not had to use his nebulizer and he’s able to sleep without coughing. I was skeptical but very glad I got this for his room

I love BlueAir in general so I bought 3 of these to try to automatically handle the fluctuating air quality due to Canadian wildfire season over the summer/fall which causes bad air over much of North America. However, the sensors on all three units are extremely permissive. I have high quality PurpleAir monitors to give real readings but the only time these 511i Max units would say anything other than PM2.5 of 0, was when I blew candle smoke directly into the sensor holes. That turned the fan up for 10 seconds, then back down and it said the air was great again (the real PM2.5 was around 15 in the whole house at this time, because of the wildfires). Therefore, if I want to filter, I'll have to manually control them through the app, but that makes this product about 3x the cost of other smart filters that you control through apps & it won't be responsive to changes in the air overnight in my children's rooms. Very disappointed :(

Awesome product. Had this 6 months so far and my sinus issues have almost completely subsided. The app, alerts and lights on this are very useful. The sensor picks up crazy things like when you bug spray across the house and turn on the fan and scrub the air in a matter of minutes (or so it says). They are pretty quiet unless you max speed them, but even then theyre not too loud. The washable cover/filter is great, after a while you can see it needs a wash, toss it in the washer and its all good. Would 100% recommend.

Everything is as described, except the air quality sensor is garbage. The AQI outside has been around 200 the last two days and I set it up to test for an hour... The readings were from 1-3. If you want a decent filter you can turn on/off with an app, this is fine, but otherwise look elsewhere

The sensor is designed to monitor indoor air quality specifically, which can sometimes differ noticeably from outdoor AQI readings—especially when windows and doors are closed. Regarding the filter light indicator, you can reset it by pressing and holding the fan speed button for about 15 seconds, until all LEDs on the interface light up. Then, release the button—the filter light should turn off.
