Most of the puzzles were either difficult, but not in a fun or challenging way, in an annoying way or way too easy. The chatbot was very annoying dragging things out too much and I was disappointed in the final puzzle. Would not recommend this unless it was severely discounted.

Waste of time and money
I thought this would be like an escape room but it seemed to not have much of a story and instead was just a collection of various puzzles, none of which were particularly fun to solve. The game forces you to use their website a lot to chat with a chat bot, and it is pretty useless. If you dont give it exactly the answers it wants it keeps you going in circles until it gets the exact phrasing it wants. You also have to watch a bunch of videos, which are a waste of time. There doesn't seem to be a way to get actual help, outside of using the chatbot interface. One of the clues was a jigsaw puzzle and the quality of the pieces was low enough that many incorrect pieces could easily fit together. Overall I was extremely disappointed to have wasted money on this game. It feels like very little effort was put into making the game enjoyable for the players.

Nope
We did not enjoy this game. Awkward working with the box and seems it is meant to be played alone. Few hands on activities and a lot of videos to watch. To play, you have a chat with a "partner" (not a real person) to keep moving forward. We finished the story almost immediately, so I feel it is very expensive. I do appreciate the idea of being able to reset the game and passing it on to someone else.

Two Thumbs down
Box one was amazing, Box 2 was not a hit. I didn't like not having full access to the main playing board. looking through the keys gave me a headache. I also didn't like having to run run around the house to complete certain tasks.

Cute Concept, But Felt a Little Too “Kid Show” for Us
We loved the first NPH box, so we went into Box Two excited — but this one just didn’t hit the same. The puzzles felt overly simplified, almost like it was geared toward a much younger audience. We kept joking that we were watching Dora again (“Can YOU find the clue?!”), which… wasn’t the vibe we wanted. The production quality is still fun and the theme is cute, but the challenge level wasn’t there. If you’re looking for something truly puzzly or immersive, this one might feel a little underwhelming compared to the first box. Still love the idea, just hoping the next one brings back the depth and cleverness of Box One.

Meh.
I wanted to love this…Or even like it..or just not regret buying it. But even that was asking too much. Incredibly disappointing due to being painfully simple and guided. Wonderfully high production value with quality components, but the actual puzzle solving is negligible. More like a never-ending tutorial session than it is true gameplay.

This game is absolutely horrendous. My husband picked up this game because we enjoy puzzle games. You have no idea what the objective is until the end of the game. The clues make no sense either. You would enjoy this game if you enjoy waiting on an AI chatbot and videos of Neil Patrick Harris to guide you into oblivion.

Definitely not as good as One
Lots of props and things to do. Some of it was not very intuitive and felt like it was just thrown in to be novel. This one is not as fun as the first one.

Box Two .. Need a Box Three, please.
OMGsh!! Played this with two other friends (worked as team of one) and we LOVED it!! Took playing a game to another level. This game really was interactive, involved, intelligently thought through from beginning to end. One of the best games we’ve played! Hopefully Neil keeps making these Boxes. We’re for sure hooked!

Worse than Box One. Talking to a bot really killed it. The lid with no lights sucked too. QR code puzzle was pretty bad too.

Boring
Way too physical for a board game. Spent more time running up and down the stairs for tools out of my toolkit than playing the game. Most of the puzzles are about physically manipulating the complex box than brain teasers.

Box Two not worth it
Very disappointing. We kept waiting for a surprise or twist -none. In the game you text with an Ai bot and it kept giving us the answers. It was not fun.

Solid game.
I was really looking forward to this game since I enjoyed Box One so much. The quality of this game is top notch and you can tell they put a lot of effort and time into creating it. That said, I didn’t quite enjoy it as much as Box One. Not to spoil things, but there’s a lot of involvement on the website which I didn’t love. One of the tasks was frustratingly difficult for the sake of being difficult. But overall it’s a good game and can be put back together to be replayed.

A disappointing sophmore effort
Box One was a lot of fun--it had a great story, the interaction was lively and the puzzles were not too hard or too easy. I walked away from the experience feeling like I had gotten my money's worth. However, I can't say the same about Box Two. The story is thin or non-existent, the puzzles rely on technology conceits that do not work well, and the entire experience left me feeling disappointed. The interaction seemed forced, and the chatbot component was poorly written and hard to interact with. NPH, who I usually love, came across as too frenetic, too cheesy, too...much. His mugging was over the top and did not serve the storyline. The puzzle props were cheap and did not often function the way they were supposed to. The major component (the "second box") was hard to use and frustratingly difficult to see/read. (They should have just included small, cheap LED flashlights to help.) If and when there is a Box Three, I will wait to read more about it before buying. I really feel like this one was a waste of time and money.

Fun puzzle collection
Had an absolute blast playing BoxTwo. NPH took BoxOne, and turned it up to 11! The gameplay was smooth, and thoroughly enjoyable. Great gift for game enthusiasts, or for someone wanting to enhance their thinking skills.

Does not live up to the original
Whole game is chatting with a bot that feeds you the answers. It gives you step by step, there is no way to solve the puzzles on your own, which is the joy of this type of game. Very disappointed. The quality of the game pieces and box is very nice though.

Not great
I vaguely remember box one but I do know it was much better than box two. This one lost me on the back and forth where I was supposedly teaming up with someone on the web(ai). If you've completed box one then yes box two is a must. However if you've never done box one then pass on box two.
