A: Thanks for asking! The electronic indicator on our UltraMax Dispenser shown contains a nonreplaceable, sealed battery. The filter change indicator is activated when the lid is opened for 5-8 seconds and measures water use by counting the number of times the reservoir is filled. Just get another company's - I had two separate dispensers start leaking in less than a month. I treated the second one like a baby and it still leaked from the nozzle.

The Brita Ultramax Filtered Water Dispenser is an excellent purchase for any family and a great way to save money. I love drinking clean, filtered water and enjoy the taste of soft water. One cartridge filters up to 40 gallons, and one cartridge lasts me about 2 months. I've been using this filter for 2 years now and am very satisfied with its performance. I had this water dispenser for the size. Unfortunately it filtered the water very slow and I drink tons of water and it just could not keep up with me. I liked that you could put it in the fridge or counter top.

Everyone should bring this to their Hone and avoid mineral water in bottles are sold in market, because WHO has also warned people and worried about ready plastic bottles. Because plastic water bottles are not advisable due to micro plastic particles are mixed with water and harmful to human. So avoid any brand plastic bottles and Bring this to your homes And also make your close loved ones aware of its use.

I've had this model for less than a year and already had to have it replaced twice due to the spout leaking for no reason. They seem to last about three months before issues arise. I'm not sure what the issue is but I've loved brita's pitchers and water bottles, however I have had nothing but issues with this dispenser.

This is a wonderful product. We have well water with a lot of rust. We do have a water softener but do not like the taste of the water. We bought the Brita to put in our refrigerator. It makes the water taste so much better. It is pretty large and with the entire family using it we go through a lot of water. It fits nice on the top shelf of our refrigerator and is very handy and easy to use. I would highly recommend this product.

I love cold water- unfortunately our refrigerator water is on the outside and it’s usually on the warm side. I was so excited when I got this and for 1 1/2 months it was awesome. Unfortunately, the spout leaks all over the refrigerator now. I’m constantly wiping up water from the shelves and drawers below it. I’ve tried tightening it but it’s still leaking. Such a huge disappointment.

I've had this filter for awhile now and it constantly leaks, we have to keep it over the sink so that it doesn't flood. Have tried screwing closed, cleaning, and not overfilling. The issue persists.

This is a great counter top water filter. It’s large capacity is great for the whole family and the special, long lasting filter goes for 6 months! That is much longer than an average filter do cuts down on replacement filter costs and remembering to change frequently. This has a button that lights up when it’s time to change it. Easy to fill and filters well.

I was so excited to see a filter that now filters lead and labeled removes 99% of lead was amazing, but after 3 weeks the filter is not working anymore and I can taste that metal leaf taste back in our water. This was a waste of money for us!

Bought this less then a year ago and our family liked it for a while. However, it seems like now water is leaking out of the dispenser area and I have found water in the body of my refrigerator multiple times now. I love the size and how it fits in the fridge.

We have been avid Brita pitcher/dispenser owners. We upgraded 4 years ago to the 27 cup dispenser that we LOVED! Sadly, due to a slip, it cracked and is not useable. We went out, purchased a new one and it LEAKED Right away! And not just a little bit! I left a towel underneath it the first night we got it. Opened the fridge to find the towel completely soaked and half the water that was in the dispenser leaked out. I didn't read reviews because we loved Brita. After reading the reviews, this is apparently a very common issue. Severely disappointed in the product and the absolute waste of money. Now I'll need to take a rish on a different brand and be prepared to loss more money. Very disappointing.

Bought and returned twice due to damage

Idk if the crate was dropped when this was being unloaded. First crack was along the clear plastic on a seam you couldn’t see from the packaging. Second purchase the black tank was broken but the clear plastic was intact. We returned both and purchased the Brita 10 cup elite pitcher instead. With the tank being so fragile that (we couldn’t even purchase one that wasn’t broken), we decided it was safer to get a pitcher that wouldn’t be easily dropped.
