Q: Does Target always supply the newest version of the camp snap? Like the newest version v105?

submitted by Lyn - 4 days ago

Q: How do you delete pictures from the camera? Are you able free up space on the card?

submitted by Kriscee - 9 days ago
  • A: Hi, thanks for reaching out about Camp Snap Screen-Free Digital Camera Since the Camp Snap Camera is designed to be "screen-free," there is no way to delete pictures directly on the camera itself. There are no "Delete" or "Trash" buttons on the device. To delete photos and free up space, you must connect the camera to another device. How to Delete Pictures & Free Up Space Connect to a Computer: Use the included USB-C cable to plug the camera into your PC or Mac. Open the Folder: Your computer will recognize the camera as a removable drive (usually named CAMPSNAP). Open it to see your photo files. Delete Files: Select the photos you want to remove and move them to the Trash/Recycle Bin. Crucial Step (for Mac users): If you are on a Mac, you must empty your Trash while the camera is still plugged in. Otherwise, the space won't actually be "freed up" on the SD card, and the camera might still tell you it's full. Alternative (Format): If you have already saved your photos and want to wipe the card completely clean, you can "Format" the drive (ensure you select FAT32 format) using your computer's disk utility tools. Can I do this on my phone? Yes! If you have a USB-C to USB-C cable (or the appropriate adapter for your phone), you can plug the camera directly into your smartphone. Android: Use the "Files" app to view and delete the photos. iPhone: Use the "Files" app or the "Photos" app (under the "Import" tab) to manage the files. If you have any additional questions, we welcome you to contact MyTGTtech at 833-848-8324 every day, between 7am-11pm CST.

Q: Hi,does this camera have recording option?

submitted by Kalyani - 18 days ago
  • A: Hi, thank you for reaching out about Camp Snap Screen-Free Digital Camera. The Camp Snap CS8 is a dedicated, screen-free digital video camera (a modern,,, "Super 8" style) that records video and audio with a simple trigger press. It does not take photos. The camera records MP4 files, includes 5 filters, and has no screen for playback, requiring a USB-C connection to view footage on another device. If you have any additional questions, we welcome you to contact MyTGTtech at 833-848-8324 every day, between 7am-11pm CST.

Q: What is the estimated maximum photos taken with the SD Memory Card Included? Does the camera support larger Card Storage Sizes?

submitted by Michael - 2 months ago
  • A: Hi, thanks for reaching out about the Camp Snap Screen-Free Digital Camera The camera includes a 4GB microSD card already installed. This card is estimated to hold a maximum of 2,000 photos. Standard/Classic Models (V101–V105): These typically support up to 32GB. If you have any additional questions, we welcome you to contact MyTGTtech at 833-848-8324 every day between 7 am and 11 pm CST.

Q: Can you import photos straight to your phone through a cord, or only to a computer?

submitted by Maddie - 4 months ago
  • A: Hi, thank you for reaching out about Camp Snap Screen-Free Digital Camera. Yes, you can import photos straight to your phone using the provided USB-C cable, but it depends on your phone's port type. If you have any additional questions, we welcome you to contact MyTGTtech at 833-848-8324 every day, between 7am-11pm CST.

Q: How do you switch between filters?

submitted by Isabella - 4 months ago
  • A: Hi, thanks for reaching out about Camp Snap Screen-Free Digital Camera Because this camera is designed to be screen-free and minimalist, you cannot switch filters directly on the camera itself while you are out shooting. The camera can only use one filter at a time, and that filter is set by transferring a file to the camera's internal memory via a computer or smartphone. The design philosophy is that you choose your "film" style before you go out, similar to a disposable or film camera, and you are locked into that look until you get back to your computer. If you have any additional questions, we welcome you to contact MyTGTtech at 833-848-8324 every day, between 7am-11pm CST.

Simple to use and create quality images

My son just turned 12, and we gave him the Camp Snap, so he could capture images without the distracting screens and apps found on most digital devices, including digital cameras. It has helped him to be in the moment and develop creatively. Since he isn't drawn to interact with a screen, he interacts more with his environment, including the people with him. It is nice that it scratches that itch to have something electronic on hand without over-saturating the experience with unnecessary and overstimulating bells and whistles. Furthermore, I have been impressed with the quality of the images (even in less than ideal lighting situations). The configured "aperture" and "shutter speed" is rather flexible and on point. It is far superior to the former "point and shoot" cameras I grew up with in the '90s but just as simple and fun.

Love it!

I bought this for my girlfriend as a present and she absolutely loves it! The perfect mix between digital and film camera experience. Resetting the metadata for accurate date & time capture is a little difficult but otherwise an awesome gift

Capture memories and still live in the moment

A friend bought one right before we went to Twitchcon last year and the pictures really captured all the fun we had together. What really sold me was the simplicity of pulling it out, capturing a picture, and tucking it back away. I normally film everything for YouTube, but the Camp Snap cameras made me take a step back and realize that just living in the moment is another option.

Pass it around at weddings!

I love having my Camp Snap still shot camera. I bring it to weddings and pass it around to let guests snap photos of each other! I also have the Super 8 looking video camera and I do the same with that. Guests love it! They all say they want one after having fun with mine. The key really cool thing about it is that it turns on and off easy, no viewing is great and no way to erase photos too so when I give it to guests I don't have to worry about anything. While they get all this footage of the wedding I can use it for BTS and also to make them social videos and even full on highlight edits. It is so fun and the still shot one does basically the same magic as the video does!

Screenless is best

This is a small, lightweight retro camera which falls in the camera product category of "toy cameras". I am an adult simply looking to recreate the feeling of snapping photos like we used to do before complicated technology took over. Hopefully the camera holds up for a long time. I have only had it for a short while.

SO FUN!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Compact, light, easy to carry around and snap anything and everything to your hearts content. Without a screen it eliminates the desire for perfection and produces authenticity - something I miss so much it a heavily digitized, aesthetically obsessed world.

I love it

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love that there’s no preview — you just point, shoot, and rediscover the photos later, which makes the experience feel nostalgic and more present. It’s lightweight, easy to use, and perfect for kids or family outings. The photos have a vintage, film-like vibe rather than ultra-sharp quality, but that’s honestly part of the charm

I understand the appeal of a point and shoot camera to get off the screens and be present in the moment, but if you'd like to actually be able to appreciate the moment after it's over, this might not be the camera for you. For the price, the quality is very poor. Spend a bit more to get a camera that works infinitely better, or keep your 70 bucks and take pics on your phone. The sentiment is great, I love the brand, but this camera just didn't serve the purpose that my Pinterest heart needed.
