STRONG CHEMICAL SMELL AND TASTE
Skip don’t buy this will literally make your dishes taste just like the chemical they put in the pods , very strong chemical smell will never buy again.

This sounds like a very unsettling experience, and we are truly sorry it happened. We certainly do not want your dishes to retain any chemical scent or taste, and your safety is our top priority. It is possible that if the detergent is not completely rinsed from your dishes, or if certain items have become porous over time, they might absorb flavors or scents. Plastic items, for example, can sometimes retain odors more easily. If you notice specific dishes consistently picking up a taste, they might be worn and could benefit from hand washing. We suggest a few tips to help eliminate any lingering taste or smell. You could try soaking your dishes in hot water with some distilled white vinegar added. Another effective method is to run your dishes through the dishwasher again, this time pouring some vinegar into the bottom of the dishwasher and directly into the dispenser. Placing a cup of vinegar upright on the top rack can also help distribute it throughout the wash cycle. It might take a few cycles, but this often resolves the issue. We also recommend checking your dishwasher sprayer arms to ensure they are clear and not clogged, as this can affect rinsing performance. A simple test involves placing a cup right side up on the top rack and running a cycle; it should be filled with water at the end if your dishwasher is rinsing properly. I only use Cascade for my dish washer
I am reviewing my Cascade plainum plus with Dawn. It cleans and helps dishes look and smell clean. I do not see water spots after wash. It is easy to laod soap in washer and it does the rest. I do not notice a scent but i am good with that as long as the washer does not have that fishy smell so I need to rewash. I have not noticed that with this cascade.

Strong, effective and nice fresh scent
Cascade Action Pac Platinum Plus is a dishwasher detergent that couldn't be easier to use and more effective. Cascade has come up with a detergent pac that has dry detergent and liquid that contains Dawn to break down grease. I didn't even have to rinse dishes and they came out amazingly clean. The fresh scent is nice, too.
