Conair Double Ceramic Curling Iron

It’s smells so bad when you curl your hair smells like burnt hair no matter what level will you put it on? It’s terrible.

This would be a really nice curling iron... if the button placement and style wasn't so ruinously bad. It is nearly impossible to use this without constantly accidentally turning it off. Pros: The barrel is smooth; my hair is fine, breaks easily, and gets caught in styling appliances with impressive ease, but I had no problems with pulling, snagging, or the like. It has a good weight in hand — it doesn't feel cheap or flimsy. It would honestly be a joy to use, except: Cons: The freaking BUTTONS... ugh. Whoever designed this was either very bad at their job or diabolically malicious. The buttons are *very* easy to press, there is no lock, and they are positioned in such a way that it is impossible to hold the iron without accidentally pushing them. The best way to avoid this is to hold the iron by the very end of the handle, close to the cord... but this position is uncomfortable, unbalanced, unwieldy, and didn't even entirely prevent me from accidentally pressing the buttons as i wound my hair around the iron. I wish there was a lock. That simple addition would make this otherwise well-made tool an absolute keeper... but as it is, it's not worth the fiddliness and extra time it takes to manage this defective design. I'll be returning it.

Worked well for 5 months then stopped working. All other irons I’ve ever had have worked well over 10-15 years. Can’t return it.

Cooling tip is too small, handle is too short causing to power off when curling.

This curling iron gets the job done but is super lightweight and feels cheap - but more annoyingly, you can’t really maneuver it or hold the wand without the heat volume spinning beneath your thumb so I’m constantly having to readjust it.

Does not hold curl no matter what I do. My friend the same one and returned it for the same reason. Looks pretty but genuinely doesn’t work

Not good at all. the white handle gets lost on white bathroom counter. grabed wrong end and burnt hand. did not curl or grab hair nicely. i like the 1 1/4 conair. better material.

I love this curling iron but have a question. I’ve read the instructions but don’t see what the reason is for two power buttons. I’m wondering because I will be taking it to the UK and want it to perform as well there. Why are there two?

Pretty color, but inconsistent heat transfer. Does not curl my hair

Had less then 3 weeks won't turn on anymore

It was great at 1st. I'm on my 3rd one in 6 months. First one quit heating. The last one was actually steaming and the very next day didn't heat at all. Hopefully this 3rd one keeps working!

Heats up quickly, holds curls nicely!

It heats up quickly, which is nice. However, it doesn’t last more than a few months. It is a throw away item.

Love the price! Love the curls! I use this as my everyday curling iron, it heats up quickly and gives me the exact curls I’m looking for. The hair can get stuck if you use to thick if strands, another note is sometimes because of the placement of the temperature, while clamping sometimes the temperature accidentally changes while using it. All that aside it’s very good for the price! For reference I used the 1”inch iron.

3 months not getting hit anymore!! Disappointed!!!

As others mentioned design makes it hard to use without accidentally turning it off. Don’t recommend.

Nice even heat but bad functionality. The buttons are placed right where you grab the handle so they are easily accidentally pressed. Also, the end part opposite the handle where you grab onto is not long enough.

My old Conair curling iron died on me a day before I was leaving on vacation. I ran to the store and picked up this curling iron thinking that since it was a Conair, it should work fine. I have been so disappointed in how this curling iron was designed. It makes me wonder if the person who designed it even uses the product. Between the temperature adjuster scrolling or I accidentally turn off the iron while using, I struggle each time. I have used a curling iron for over 45 years. This one falls the lowest on my list of favorite products.

I love the feature of how quickly it heats up and cools down. A really great curling iron for my fine,thin hair.

Great 1.5 inch curler for thick hair! Looks like I just got a blowout on my hair!
