So much to like. This is a powerful, quiet, and affordable mixer. I really like it and I am pleased with my purchase. The only design drawbacks is the inability to scrap down thing inside the bowl, while it it working.

I have not used a stand mixer since my mother’s ancient Sunbeam. I got by with a progression of Cuisinart hand mixers, but recently decided to make more of my own staples like focaccia, dog treats, and cookies to keep in the freezer and pulled out one by one so I can avoid the seed oils and additives to packaged foods. (Even the bakery uses canola oil instead of olive oil in their bread!) This big boy gets the job done with less mess and less work. Next I want to try the fruit sorbet attachment.
Amazing Mixer!

Overall, I'm happy with the mixer. I like the deep bowl, the ease of attaching the paddles, the color (black) etc. However, the paddle isn't long enough to reach the bottom of the bowl, so I end up having to stop the mixer in order to incorporate the ingredients. Perhaps the amount of mix is too little. That said, it's still more convenient than my hand mixer.
A smart buy

Mixes really well, I only have to scrape the side of my bowl a couple of times. Love the different speeds that it can do. My only issue is I wish the cord was a little longer but that's not a deal breaker.

I love this mixer and plan to have it for many years. As a mother of two girls I wanted to teach them some valuable cooking skills and I knew this mixer would create fun and smiles. The performance and quality is impeccable. We can create excellent dishes and save a lot of time. The clean up is simple and easy. The attachments and bowl is dishwasher safe. We use our mixer continuously and wish I had this sooner.

It doesn’t mix well; the metal attachment doesn’t reach or touch the bottom of whatever i’m mixing.
Beaters don't reach bowl bottom

None of the attachments reach the bottom of the bowl so proper mixing does not occur. Tou have to remove the bowl to scrape contents off bottom to mix.
Great mixer, but wish clearance was smaller

I really like how powerful the motor is, but wish there was less clearance between the mixers and the bowl.

Attachments have to much clearance on side and bottom of bowl. Lever in back is design flaw. Speed control knob is great! Bowl is very nice.

I use my mixer to make all types of things. I am grateful for the various attachments because I am now making my own bread! Using as few ingredients as possible, keeping it healthy. I love it. I also use my mixer for making my skincare products! I love the depth of the mixing bowl, the splash proof lid. Just great.
Good mixer for the price

Heavy mixer, it takes a little time to get used to. You must stop the mixer to add ingredients. It’s a bit inconvenient, but a good safety feature. I haven’t used it a whole lot, but it works well. Good for a heavy dough which is why I bought it.

I had a Krups for 21 years and liked all the features of the Krups (easy to clean, light weight) but it finally gave out. I decided to go with the Cuisinart 5.5 quart mixer and have not been disappointed. It is on the heavier side not as heavy as the KitchenAid and it doesn't come apart to clean like the Krups, but I believe it will stand up to my baking abuse.
