Dirt Devil Bagless Corded Standard Filter Upright Vacuum

This vacuum saved my life. I accidentally spilled my mother’s ash tray on her carpet and I panicked thinking I would never get this out. Thank goodness this vacuum was handy and ready to rumble. One swipe over the mess and it was gone. I’ve never felt more complete.

Easy glide over carpet and power suction. Carpet has a brand new appearance;very soft and fluffy.Clean and comfortable.

Easy to use, however it's a little boxy in the shape. So far I've only used it on flat carpeting (like kitchen carpeting) and it works great. Powerful and sucks up a lot of dirt. I really miss the Dirt Devil Breeze though, that one was the best. But as with all products I like, it got discontinued.

Excellent suction a great improvement over last Dirt Devil

I'm very satisfied with my Dirt Devil Multi-Surface + Upright Vacuum Cleaner. It was easy to assemble, easy to use, and vacuums my carpet very well. My apartment is now much more pleasant with a well-vacuumed carpet. I'm also no longer afraid of dust bunnies, some of which could grow to the size of those Giant Flemish rabbits.

I luv it! Lite and fun to use and it does its job!, what i don’t like is that, NO where in the paper work or anywhere on the vacuum, it doesn’t say the style or size of the belt???

If I had not of thrown box away when I used the vacuum I would carry it back! Now the suction is good but the hose is not long enough by no means and if you pull on it the least little bit it comes UNATTACHED! I spent all this money now I’m stuck with it. I did go by another vacuum but it was not a Dirt Devil. Will never buy another Dirt Devil.

Love that this Dirt Devil, its light weight and is able to vacuum carpeted steps while the beater brush is turning. My upright Shark & Dyson will not allow the brush to turn in the upright position. Dirt Devil allows the brush to turn in upright or vacuuming position. I also love the red hand grip while vacuuming steps! Absolutely my favorite vac for deep cleaning carpeted steps easily.

I'm usually a fan of Dirt Devil products, and I'm not stranger to l"more affordable" products in general, as I live on a fixed income. I have to be honest and say that I was extremely disappointed and unhappy with this purchase. To begin, the "rewind" feature for the cord didn't work correctly, right out of the box. I had already used it so I wasn't going to attempt to return it, but I think all features should be in working condition on a brand new product that's just been removed from its manufacturer's packaging. Next, the hose attachment tubing is way to short, so you end up with a long, unbendable hose that barely gives any slack, so your arm tires quick when vacuuming high spots, because you're bearing most of the weight from the vacuum itself because it pulls it up when you reach above your head with it. If you remove the unbendable hose, the flex hose is MAYBE 2 feet long, so you can only use it on extremely small areas, on the ground, so long as it's inches away from the vacuum. And the vacuum is SO HEAVY! I have a hard time carrying it up 3 steps to my kitchen to vacuum the area rug. And the suction isn't anything to right home about either. It works, but sometimes I have to go over the same area multiple, multiple times. The cord also gets REALLY hot. So if you're considering this vacuum as an option, just be aware that you don't even get what you paid for with this party model. I suggest saving and spending a little bit more to get something better. Because Dirt Devil missed their mark on this one. I love the brand, but this model is awful.

Great vacuum. Picks up dirt on rug and floors. I would recommend this vacuum to anyone. I bought expensive ones that did not work as well. Can't beat the price too. Very happy with it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this to replace my parent's previous 20yr old Dirt Devil vacuum cleaner and boy do they love it! It's quiet, picks up everything and gets the job done quickly!! It's all they talked about for a week after I bought it for them!
