Q: Just opened new box and started charging battery as instructed in manual. Red light is flashing which manual states this is an error. I unplugged and plugged back in but red light is still flashing. Does that mean this new vacuum is defective?

Major failure
Bonjour. Malgré la bonne ergonomie et praticité d'utilisation, cet appareil cache un vice dans ça conception et cela va faire ton expérience d'achat tourner au vinaigre. Le tuyau flexible reliant la tête d'aspiration au corps de l'aspirateur se déchire facilement après quelques usages. Dans mon cas, en 6 mois les trous sur le tuyau rendaient l'appareil inutile. GARDEZ VOS PREUVES D'ACHAT!!! Car sans le reçu vous allez se retrouver dans une situation d'extrême impotence, où le fabricant exige la reçu d'achat pour valider la garantie et où le détaillant, alléguant ne pouvoir trouver le reçu d'achat dans ses dossiers (dans mon cas), te renvoie au fabricant.

Poor quality, ergominics and battery life.
Terrible design and battery lasted only a few months with minimal use. And I am an industrial designer for 30 years with Rubbermaid Commercial and Lenovo so I know what I am talking about.

Great until it wasn't
I loved this vacuum...while it worked. Not even two years in and the hose at the joint split completely in half and they don't make replacement parts. Now we need to buy at entirely new vacuum.

Faulty charger
Our charging plug broke or died, it keeps flashing the “Service” light and we assumed it was the battery itself and bought a new battery. So now we have 2 batteries and nothing to charge it with. Only had this vacuum for 5 months.

Too expensive for less than a year of use.
We bought this vacuum maybe 6 months ago and it worked great, but about 3 months ago the wheels came off and we have no way to reattach them. We've been using it without and it was still working but it didn't maneuver well and we have to lift up the back so it doesn't rip up our floors. The battery is now saying it needs service which there doesn't seem to be a solution for so I guess we no longer have a vacuum.

Let down again
Received this vacuum as a replacement under warranty as my other one was not longer available. The exact same thing happened with this one as the one it replaced. The power brush starts to heat up because it strips and will no longer turn. I love the vacuum otherwise. I guess I’ll have to try another brand because both have lasted less than a year.

Started off great - went south fairly fast
After while this vacuum stopped sucking & kept constantly getting clogged. We were ALWAYS having to unclog the stick part...then it got to the point that even when all of that was empty, it would NOT suck anything & kept sptting it back out. We took it apart several times to clean to no avail. Its a waste of money. Hard pass. dont do it.

Dust buster alone has really poor suction together with the vacuum cleaner it's good. Have had other hoover stick vacs with removable dust busters that had way more suction.

Need support to common problem.
I like the product, but I have the same problem as most of the claims here below, the hose is cracked. It’s very sad, because the vacuum itself is good and this thing should be addressed by the manufacturer to stop bad reviews and support customer satisfaction. My vacuum is still under a 1-year warranty, and I hope it will be handled by Hoover in the proper way.

Excellent suction and battery life, crap hose
I loved this vacuum. 2 batteries, one on the charger, one on the vacuum. Lots of power to clean up, gets into the baseboard corners, does carpet well, bare floors, pet hair, even small rocks in the foyer. However, the hose in the power head has split. Now if I tip the stick vacuum back more than 15-20 degrees the hose opens up and voids all of the excellent suction this vacuum has. I am here on the website to look for a solution, repair or replacement but I cannot find my model number on the website search. It’s too bad because this is the perfect vacuum for our situation. I hope to resolve this and not be forced to buy a new unit.

I bought this around November, it has been 8 months I love the vacuum it works great! But it does have a problem. The spinning side of the beater bar, can get full of hair and can start to melt because of the friction of the hair that is in between the part that spins the beater bar and the barring for the drive belt.You easily fix it yourself but you do have to take it apart. This has also happened on my other Hoover vacuum.

Expensive hunk of plastic
Worked great at first but now I realized how incorrect I was. I've had this for a little over a year now and I've already had to replace the base because the plastic cracked. The suction is not good. I vacuum before shampooing my carpet and my carpet shampoo does a 1000% better job than this vacuum. The battery does not last long at all. Maybe 20 minutes. When I contacted the manufacture support for both of these problems, they've sent a replacement for the base but for the battery they did troubleshooting that didn't make sense. Just a very bad expensive machine.

Horrible lifespan!
This vacuum started off great. Floors were thoroughly cleaned, no fur left in sight. Over time it became less efficient. It is now at a point that the vacuum won’t run for more than a minute at a time, suction is non-existent. Proper maintenance has been conducted, there are no obstructions, filters are clean and the battery is at full charge. Very disappointed! We haven’t had this vacuum for more than 6 months and already in need of a new one, unless Hoover steps up here I won’t be buying another one of their products.

Buyer beware
Worked well i nthe beginning, bought it for lite duties, like cleaning up after dinner etc. I have more powerful vaccum for all our carpet areas. Like many, the hose broke where it bends and now it is useless.. cannot buy a spare head, not going to repair, so now it's off to landfill. There is a reason why Hoover doesn't sell these anymore....
