I’ve had my Dyson PC1 Air purifier fan for about a month now and I like everything about it. It looks good, it’s made well, it filters the air inside my house, and works as a fan as well.

The only reason we did not give it 5 stars was because the initial set-up was very frustrating. After about 20 minutes of being plugged in it suddenly started connecting to the app and responding to inputs. In retrospect, I would advise plugging it in, loading the app and connecting to WiFi and just let it sit for 30 minutes. I think the software does an update and it’s just slow. Other than that, this purchase was to give our older Dyson purifier a break. It’s over 5 years old and still runs fine but we felt it was time to upgrade and use the old fan as back-up, if needed. This makes a total of 3 Dyson purifiers in our house! We love them!

Very happy with the air filtration. Just wish the two finger holes in the base were bigger as difficult to pick up the machine and carry to a different position or room. I know not to lift from the top.

I received this about three months ago. Since using this in my apartment, the air has never been clearer. I sleep more soundly at night with less issue breathing soundly in deep sleep. I am able to clear the air more quickly after cooking, and it helps that the space feels much cooler while the fan is in use as well! It is extremely quiet, I barely notice that it is on. The app is very user friendly, I don't even require the remote it comes with to control the various settings.

For the amount of money we paid for this “fan” the airflow is NOT at all sufficient. I think a regular standing fan from Target//Amazon would have provided much more cooling. I do love the very minimal noise, oscillating coverage & night mode for the display.

I bought this to replace an older fan and liked the idea of haven’t filtered air. It did not work for me at all. The airflow was poor and it was noisy when at a higher speed - it was expensive so I returned it and bought a portable air conditioning unit.
Air flow/cooling fan is meh.

I purchased this a month ago for our living room. It’s June-July and at times we’ve also had the air-conditioning on. It’s quiet but we were not impressed by the airflow. You can buy a tower type fan for a lot less money and it will have better air flow. The fact that it’s also has an air filter was the not the primary reason we purchased it.

Bought to keep myself and my wife cool in the bedroom during the latest heatwave, it’s been perfect for the job, I like the app controls, with easy to understand settings, especially the direction control and speed settings, it’s quiet on low speed, to create a gentle breeze, and the motion control is completely quiet, no annoying mechanical sounds, good for our set up, but not a fan for a big room space, where you want a blast of cold air, you wouldn’t use this in an office space, for example. The filter is a boon for stuffy noses and pollen sufferers, especially at night.

My. husband and I had a rented holiday house which (fabulously) contained a Dyson Cool (which was great), though we thought we'd get the Purifier Cool as air purifying is also needed at our home. As some reviews have suggested, it does not cool as well as the unit designed for that, despite the marketing saying it does. It does not. As well, the app is not great, which is disappointment given all the great technology that goes into the product! It has connection issues, and...well, it is not smooth running. Noise level is good and we use it regularly, though I wish it did cool better and the app needs further development.

I bought this purifier for my son, who has a serious lung condition, to filter out impurities in the air, to allow him to breathe easier. The air seems fresher , and when on auto as he starts to use his nebuliser the fan kicks in and filters out the air, which now contains sodium chloride, etc, from the nebuliser proving the sensors work. The only tangible problem is is the air emitted from the fan is cool and not cold, so in hot weather it is not as effective as other fans we have had, but is still effective. In summary I would say it is good for filtering but moderate for cooling.
