Q: From Levoit's own website, it says Core 200S line doesn't come with HEPA filter. It is a non-HEPA filter. Is this product's specification on target page correct?

    Down in quality :-(

    Unfortunately the quality has gone down on this air purifier. I had two of these already from a few years ago and purchased a third in Dec 2025. It makes an annoying whistling/whirring sound that the older ones don’t. I exchanged it, but the new one does the same thing. Not sure I can keep it.

    get it!

    Reduced smells in the bedroom within an hour. We have 2 large bullys and 20 year old carpet. No matter how much cleaning I did, the smells would always come back. Finally they are gone! In addition every night my husband would sniffle and sneeze, that has stopped!

    RELEASES High Amount of VOC

    Purchased this item from Target for a large room. We have an air quality monitor there for our parrot. Unboxed the unit and removed the plastic bag on filter as instructed before running. VOC level in the room immediately increased. We moved the parrot to another part of the house and continued to watch the VOC level rise in the room with the Levoit air "purifier" (see screen capture of air quality monitor). After several hours, VOC levels remained elevated and we began to feel dizzy so we turned off and removed the unit and VOC levels in the room began to fall. Others on Reddit have reported this same issue specifically for Levoit air purifier products. It's very disturbing that a product marketed for improving air quality would do the exact opposite, but that's what this product does. Returning to store. Buy at your own risk.

    Nothing special

    Average purifier. Levoit has a lawsuit for advertising their purifiers as “HEPA” when independent testing confirmed that they didn’t meet the standards. They have since removed “HEPA” from all of their products because it’s considered deceptive marketing. Do a quick google search. The replacement filters are also very expensive in comparison to other brands. Too expensive to operate overall so I’ll be avoiding this brands.
