A: Yes the chargers for Dyson Vacuums are separate from the wall mounts.

Stopped working after 6 months. The battery needed to be replaced as they told us at dyson office, which was around $100. After getting a new battery, another half a year later same story. This is my second dyson vacuum and I’m disappointed. My Chinese cordless vacuum from Amazon for $100 is working better than dyson. Over 2.5 years I didn’t have any problems. Not wasting my money anymore on dyson products.

I loved this vacuum at first (although the battery never lasted more than 10 - 15 minutes). I’ve had this for less than 2 years. The battery lasts around 1 minute now. Very annoying.

I've only had this vacuum a year (almost to the day) and it just broke. The head came completely off of the pole while vacuuming. and wires are hanging out. Disappointing for price point.

I got this for christmas a few years ago after doing extensive research on stick vacuums. This one seemed like the best option for me, and I have always wanted a Dyson. It was super easy to assemble and the charging port is very small and convenient. Works great for cleaning the whole house and never lost a charge, until very recently. Now, every time I use it it lasts for about 10 seconds, then the motor starts revving and it shuts off. I have cleaned the filter, as I do regularly anyway, and checked that there is nothing stuck inside somewhere. Checked the battery for damage, checked everything I can find online to look for. Still does it. I tried to contact Target and it's out of their warranty window (which makes sense), then tried to contact Dyson and they no longer service this model. I can't even buy replacement parts for it even if I knew what was wrong! I had to go back to my old Bissell that's huge and plugs in. Very dissappointed in the money spent on something that didn't last nearly as long as it should have.

The convenience of no cord is the only good thing about this. It has very little suction, malfunctions 1/3 of the time to where it doesn’t work at all. My $99 Shark works significantly better. I wish I would’ve returned this but I kept thinking it would get better somehow.

Terrible! Not worth the money. After one year, I had issues with the battery. Last 3 minutes max. Called Dyson and they told me I will need to buy a new battery which is $100.

I rarely take the time to leave reviews but I was so disappointed by this purchase. The vacuum leaves scuff marks all over my wood floors. The marks aren’t permanent but I hate to mop every time I vacuum. Seriously ridiculous for such an expensive product.

Best vacuum on the market but...

No doubt Dyson makes the best vacuums. But the battery on my Dyson V8 died after only 4 months of light use. Very disappointed and my options are either to buy a new battery myself or take it to a Dyson Service Center that has very very mixed reviews.

Expensive vacuum and I only have enough battery time to vacuum my living room. I can purchase another battery for an additional $100 but I shouldn't have to pay more to vacuum my entire house or at least more than one room. The suction power does not live up to the Dyson name. I vacuum over the same area several times in order to get a complete clean, even with the boost power strength. If you have a 500 sq ft apartment with hardwood floors maybe this vacuum will work for you, but it's not designed for anything larger or carpet.

Not a fan. Would Not recommend. I really don’t understand why people love it so much. I guess if you don’t care that you have to hold the on button the whole time which makes your hand cramp after awhile and you don’t care that the battery life is terrible. Also the suction without the hose and floor attachment is pointless, it barely picks up anything. I really wish I hadn’t wasted the money or at least read some reviews first.

I really wanted to love this vacuum. Maybe my expectations were unrealistic, but our old vacuum that was all of $100 didn’t give me this many issues. We have 3 dogs and 2 cats and a baby. Our place is under 1,000 sqft, mostly hardwood but we have rugs around. Because of the lack of power this vacuum has, I have to vacuum several times PER DAY to keep pet hair at bay. That’s so unrealistic! With a baby that is crawling around, I want to vacuum once every morning and be done with it. I think this vacuum would work better for a family who doesn’t have animals and doesn’t have rugs or carpets. Seems like it does a decent job on our hardwood, but even then I notice I have to run over areas of debris several times for it to pick them up. Yes, I’ve cleaned the filter several times - we even bought brand new ones and still not working. Pros: Has different heads for many purposes, easy to carry a baby in one hand and vacuum with the other, my cat loves to chew this particular charging cable and we’ve had to replace it 2 times and it’s not cheap. Cons: Does not do a good job sucking up dog or cat hair (long or short) like other vacuums do, does not have a strong suction, does not pick up kitty litter like it should, leaves rugs dirty with debris, no on/off button so you have to be pulling a trigger button the entire time you vacuum, extremely expensive
