Heavy
Fitting the extractor to the main extraction unit is not very good as you have to fit a brush into the cylinder first or it is impossible to fit. Also my wife finds it alot heavier than the older one

Don’t buy this vacuum unless you prepared to see how dirty your hardwood floors are. The laser dirt finder is amazing. It is exceptionally strong for its size considering I came from a full-size vacuum to this one.

After one month of use, I am very impressed with the Total Clean Extra. It is powerful and very easy to maneuver. The only thing the manufacturer should improve is the charging speed, as it takes a significant amount of time to get back to 100%. If you have a large home, you might want a spare battery, but the vacuuming quality is top-notch

Fantastic vacuum.
We changed up from a V11 and the difference is amazing. Much better suction with lower noise and also an excellent battery life.

Love my new Dyson it’s quiet yet super powerful, what I have picked up off my floors that my old vacuum didn’t is down right disgusting. I also love how quick and easy it is to grab to clean quick messes instead of hauling out my old canister vacuum. I wish I had have invested in a Dyson years ago, I feel great knowing my home is so much cleaner and it is also very easy on my back using it so this is my forever vacuum, thank you Dyson V15😀

Amazing Battery
Bought the v15 a few weeks ago. I chose this one due to the increased battery life and I have been very impressed. Lasts long enough to vacuum a full house comfortably. Great power and suction with great attachments

Not for us
The V16 Detect wasn’t for us. The drawbacks are that it doesn’t stand on its own, the dirt bin is very small, and the dirt bin is difficult to remove if you have arthritis. Additionally, the vacuum does not have a balanced weight distribution that makes it feel heavier than it actually is when you’re carrying it. We have a dog that sheds 365 days a year. One of the selling points of this model was its suction power. The Dyson wasn’t much better than the 4 year old low end vacuum that it was replacing.

LOVE IT !
I have recently been looking at stick vacs and I decided to purchase a Dyson V15 vac, and I am very happy with it. It has great suction and is quieter than my vacuum cleaner. The battery capacity is perfectly adequate for me. I am a 79 years old and It is so much easier to pick up and clean with it. I am looking forward to using all the attachments that came with it.

Terrific Vacuum
It's a terrific vacuum, however, when you remove the wand to use the built in crack and crevice tool, to put it back together you have to first remove the crack and crevice tool from the head unit, push it back into the want until it clicks, then put the wand back onto the head unit until it clicks. You cannot simple re assemble it the way you took it apart.

Am I happy with my Dyson purchased? Yes I do. Happy with the suction power, all the attachments really helpful for me to clean the house. My issues with this vacuum are the machine & the way we have to open the container to throw all trash. Yes it’s heavy to hold it around the house. I’m just taking it as exercise I guess, be positive. Especially if I have to vacuum all the way up. I’m 5’3” and it is taking all my muscles to hold this thing. And after all those vacuuming, full of dust & what not, I find it very surprising that when I open the container, my face is so close to the filter. I didn’t expect there is an opening at the upper part. It’s probably just me being paranoid, but I have to hold my breath everytime. I’m not sure why the design like that because I can see something falling out from the filter area that are not going down to the trash can. Overall, happy with the suction power.

Hassle free cleaning!
Received a Dyson V10 Animal as a gift. After searching reviews, I decided to upgrade to the V15 Detect. Glad I did! Very quiet operation, automatic suction power based on illuminated dust/dirt. Very easy maintenance. The vacuum itself is very maneuverable and lightweight! Purchased extra filters and cleaning brush roller which were fairly inexpensive! Great all around! Pure Dyson Quality!

Worst luck with Target. Buy elsewhere and save yourself the hassle.
4th try and still no Dyson V15. I’m sure this is a great item but target can never get it right. Originally, I purchased online to be picked up at a store that’s an hour and half drive (wasn’t in stock locally)! Only to have them cancel it 2 hours later. 2nd attempt, ordered again and this time it was shown in stock and ready for pickup at another location. Made the 1 hour and half drive the opposite direction just to arrive and it be damaged. 3rd attempt shipped from another state! Only to arrive with the box heavily damaged and possibly missing parts. Returned to my local store, ordered another one to be shipped (4 try at this point) only to have it showing being shipped from the exact local store I did my return. Went back to my local store and the manager confirmed that someone mistakenly restocked it only to have my EXACT return get processed to be shipped right back to me. Again my local store had been out of stock. My return was the one that was restocked and being shipped out (TO ME, AGAIN).

Overall good vacuum cleaner.
Good suction, very good maneuverability helped a lot by the absence of an annoying power cord, good enough ergonomics (a trigger lock would be great), battery life a bit less than stellar, OK filtration, relatively low noise.
