Q: Does this Dyson model vacuum shag carpeting? I tried the V15 model and it did not. It was amazing on hard surface flooring but when I tried it on carpeting with a thick pile, it did not work.

Best vacuum ever
This is one of the best vacuums from Dyson. I love that i can just press a button and not have to hold down a trigger like the V-series. Although this is meant for "Large homes" I bought it for my apartment for the button feature. It cleans so well and it's such a delight to use. Loved it so much I bought one for my parents.

Great vacuum, perfect for our family home
Super happy with this purchase. Works really well on our carpets with pet hair. Easy to use, battery lasts well, super easy to empty. Love the power button rather than trigger. Our house is 185m2 and this is great.

Amazing vacuum
I bought this recently and immediately started using it. I cannot believe what I thought was clean before - this vacuum is picking up floor dust and dirt particles that I now know has never been picked up by my previous vacuum.

Perfect for pet hair pick up
We purchase this vac about 2 weeks ago , updated to it from a V11 Dyson , we thought our hardfloors were clean , how wrong were we, this new vac with the laser light head showed us per hair we did not see. Soooo good.

Great performance
It does a great job with powerful suction. I use the different heads depending on whether I’m vacuuming the tiles or carpet. It is a lot heavier than my previous Dyson but I’m sure I will get used to it. I used the tools to vacuum my car and was pleased with the result and due to the suction, it didn’t take very long to do.

Not usable for rugs/thin carpets
Bought this vacuum a month ago, and every time the vacuum is used on a carpet, the vacuum shuts off. Using any attachment.

I bought it a month ago and hardly use it as I find it terribly hard to manoeuvre as it’s very heavy, the changing of attachments from flooring to carpet is annoying

So far so good
Sig if isn’t improvement over our V10. Hopefully the case doesn’t crack and the battery doesn’t develop a dead cell like our V10 did. The green light on the hard floor head makes it fun to vacuum again.

Great features, but some key downfalls
Convenient package with great suction and good user experience during use with the extension. Noise leaves are low! Battery seems to last through all of our tasks. The wall mount, on the other hand, is very poorly designed as you can’t store the included attachments at the same time, and it’s very rickety on the wall after installation even though the wall plate is very tightly mounted.
