Q: Does this Dyson model vacuum shag carpeting? I tried the V15 model and it did not. It was amazing on hard surface flooring but when I tried it on carpeting with a thick pile, it did not work.

    Love love love

    I have had this for a couple of weeks and it is amazing. I can actually see where I have vacuumed which is great but disturbing to see how bad my previous (non Dyson) vacuum was.

    Love the new on off switch

    Ideal all-in-one vacuum

    Had to replace our Dyson v12 Animal and decided to try this as our one and only vacuum for a 2500 sqft house with hardwood a carpet and it’s more than capable. Larger bin capacity, more powerful, and longer battery life make it an ideal all-in-one solution for a house our size.

    Best vacuum I have ever owned

    Suction is great on carpet using standard head with rollers, and using the hard floor attachment. The laser that highlights dust on the hard floor attachment is superb. The charge is sufficient to clean the entire house. As long as you leave it on the charging station when not being used, I have never once worried about charge. The little video that appears when it's time to clean the filter is a very cool feature. My vacuum plays videos. Wild stuff. It is very easy to push around and you can essentially vacuum from a 180 degree angle, totally parallel to the floor, which is useful for hoovering under tables, desks etc.

    Fabulous suction

    Replacement for my V11. So far I love it. Suction is great and the light makes detection under furniture easy and novel to me. It doesn’t quite last for the entire house (large) but who wants to spend that much time vacuuming. With a very hairy dog this is perfect for hard floors and carpet/rugs. I was surprised how much it picked up from previously cleaned carpets.

    Great vacuum!

    I bought this vacuum about two months ago. I love vacuuming with it. The light in front is really amazing! It has been a great vacuum. I would recommend it to anyone.

    Better that expected

    I bought this recently for all the hard floors in our new house. Very happy with it and so easy to use. I still use my corded upright Dyson for carpets but the Gen5 detect is more effective and efficient on our Hybrid Flooring. I can do all the floors, edges and skirting boards with a full battery. I have used some of the provided attachments as well. Still more to explore. Bought 2 weeks ago.

    Smart machine!

    I love everything about this new vacuum except for the weight. It’s not a problem for my husband, but the heaviness is uncomfortable for my hand. Love the dust detection and smart features. Great upgrade from my 10 year old Dyson cordless.

    Best Vacuum I’ve Owned

    I’ve been using this vacuum for a few weeks now and I’m really happy with it. The suction is excellent, it’s easy to use, and I love the laser light on hard floors—it shows dust you can’t normally see. It’s a bit pricey, but I don’t regret buying it.

    Not happy with Vac

    Totally disappointed as vac is heavy and parts are difficult to exchange on it. The battery has an unusual short life so constantly need to charge it if I want to finish cleaning my house .., Battery only lasts a short time 🫤

    Love my new Dyson

    I purchased a new Dyson as I have had one for over six years and it still is amazing but thought it would be good to update. I have to say the new design is more lightweight and I love that I don't have to have the trigger button to keep it on. The laser is far better and faster. Very happy with the purchase.
