I originally did not want to purchase as I thought the aftercare maintenace would be more work that mopping with a standard microfiber mop. Machine is very easy to use and gets the floor cleaner than previous methods. I only use after vacuuming up larger objects and would clean messy spills manually. I could not see the point on using machine and cleaning the components just to do a messy spill as you see advertised. Cleaning machine is relatively quick and not a lot of effort. If you have somewhere to store machine and wet components to dry before reassembly, I would highly recommend product. Botton collection tray can be a bit hard to pull out to clean.

I bought this a month ago to replace my K'Archer electric floor cleaner which wasn't holding its charge and I'm so glad I opted for the Dyson - the difference between the two is amazing. The cleaner was easy to assemble and easy to operate. The difference in the cleaning between the two machines in incredible - the Dyson is so much more manoeuvrable and more than lasts the cleaning of the entire downstairs of my house - even on the most powerful mode. The floor is visible cleaner and brighter. It's easy to clean the machine too. The Dyson is more expensive than other cleaners on the market but so worth it!

Scrubs really well, I have gloss tiles and it doesn’t leave steaks ever, battery lasts a long time. Have to pull the machine apart to clean everything before it can “self clean”.

I bought this a month ago .I am happy at the sale price and it cleans my tiles quite well .However the tray which collects the debris is not well attached and tends to come off easily .The cleaner that is recommended is not available in Australia which is not a real problem since it works with water .Being in our 70s we would hjave appreciated a printed handbook of instructions rather than fiddling with videos.Overall a good buy as part of the package deal but otherwise too expensive and not as good as previous dyson products .It works well on tiles and less labour but no better than a good mop .We keptit as we got it at a fair discount during the sale .

I exchanged my first Wash G1 because the debris tray didn’t slide out as it showed in the how to video. Same problem with the next one, and the demo model in the shop. It seems it’s a problem with the whole series. The Wash G1 does a good job of the floors, and I’m generally happy with it, but cleaning it is a bit more of a chore than I expected.

Unfortunately the only solution you can use isn’t available for sale at moment but was told I could use anything that doesn’t foam or contain bleach or ammonia but wasn’t even given any product examples that wouldn’t void warranty so not sure what I can safely use it only washes with cold water so floor isn’t sanitised which is not good with pets and babies crawling no shine or pleasant fresh smells after mopping like I get with a normal mop with hot water and floor cleaner

The Wash G1 floor cleaner is a nice looking, well designed machine, but a little heavy. As far as performance goes, I was very disappointed as my smooth, high gloss tiles looked worse after cleaning than before I started. I think if used on textured tiles it would have been great but, unfortunately, my tiles were left with streaks everywhere. I had to return the cleaner.

Floors are cleaned better using just one litre of water than I could manage with a vielda floor cleaner and cleaning solution. It is consistently clean all over and is a pleasure to use. The battery is more than sufficient and I use 3 litres of water to clean 200 sq metres. Dog hairs vanish into the bottom collection tray.

It's a great idea but I keep getting error messages about the dirty water tank being full when it isn't and I just can't fix it. So the only way I can use my expensive toy is to keep emptying the 10% full water tank and resetting. Quite a nuisance. But it does clean the floor well.

Disappointed overall. The machine cleans well, but needs to be dismantled and cleaned after each use otherwise will become foul. The self cleaning mode is almost useless cleaning just the rollers, not the dirt/hair/food deposits hidden in the base/receptacle. To dismantle and re-assemble after each use is fiddly and cumbersome and we’re worried a plastic part will soon break from re-assembling each time.
