I had high hopes based on the good reviews. Did not like the texture of this product. Very thick and tacky. Not sure it really spread evenly on my face. The worse part was how bad it made me break out. Pimples everywhere. I will not purchase again or recommend. Didn't make my foundation look good.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This power grip primer is definitely gripping, normally when I wear makeup I have to reapply my powder after a few hours but with this primer my makeup stayed on all day until I took it off at the end of the day. My skin tag is combination and so in the nose and chin area and along the jawline I tend to break out a lot and it is oilier but this tone down the shine and also did not cause any acne or breakouts to happen. The only problem I really had with this power grip primer is that it is super thick which made it a little harder to distribute evenly across my whole face. I would still definitely purchase this product because it is worth it

I wore it with the Soft Glam Foundation topped with the halo glow and it was beautiful and I wore it to the Botanical Gardens in Atlanta to test the wear it held up so great this picture was at the end of a 2 hour walk.

It does help with oil control and gives a soft matte finish, but I found the texture a bit harder to work with compared to the original Power Grip Primer. The original goes on smoother and grips makeup better in my opinion. This one isn’t bad, just not my favorite—I’ll be sticking with the OG!

My only complaint about this product is that it is extremely thick. Even when I only apply a layer it takes a minute to dry and I just don’t have time to wait for it. I would use it again if I was doing make up for special occasion.

It grips onto my makeup like no other primer I’ve used and keeps it looking fresh and matte all day long. The texture is a bit tacky at first which I actually love because I know my foundation is going to stay put. It minimizes the appearance of my pores and creates a super smooth canvas for makeup. I’ve noticed a huge improvement in the longevity of my makeup since I started using it and it helps control shine without drying my skin out. It’s just as good as more expensive primers and definitely worth trying if you want that all-day matte look.

This little tube holds quite a bit and you only need a small amount. It’s also perfect for spot treating those areas of the face that tend to get a little more oily than others.

I tried powder on one side and liquid on the other and it seems like the liquid is a bit more poreless.

I have an extremely oily T zone and normal cheeks. I LOVE the original power grip primer but it’s sometimes a bit too dewy so I was excited to try this. I’ve tried with several different foundations, types of brushes, wet sponge, dry sponge, etc. and every single time it make my foundation become thick and patchy with an uneven blend. I tried blending it out extremely thin, leaving it thicker, letting it dry longer, not letting it dry at all, etc. All to no avail; this product just does not work for me.
