Violently too small for human use

Too small for human use. Who's nursing such a small amount of coffee during the day? Needs to be 20oz to 24oz. Because of the size, the convection from the bottom never has time to heat the upper portion of the fluid contents. It needs about 30-40 minutes to perform a convection effort but you're finishing your coffee within 10 minutes, right? Even if you micro-sip the 14 oz at one ounce per minute, which is essentially just under 4 teaspoons per-minute, you're still done drinking it before the bottom fluid can heat up the top through convection as there's seemingly no heating elements up-high, just on the bottom. Because of this, you get a cooler drink initially and as you get down the cup, it's quite a bit warmer creating an inconsistency. Shame. Recommend extended heating elements and a larger size. Why do I need to maintain the heat of a micro-dose?
Always warm tea!

I received my Ember as a gift. I use it every morning and even purchased one for our vacation home. It's my absolute favorite item in my kitchen. I take it outside when I feed the birds and my tea stays warm the entire time I am outdoors!
Too expensive for 18 months

Didn’t last, too expensive for its working life. Get the warranty, just some more money ☹️🙄
Use it everyday and miss it when I travel

Got this mug almost two years ago for Christmas and I love it. Keeps my coffee hot consistently, even a couple cups of coffee it lasts.
Poor warranty service

The mug stopped working during the warranty period, however despite sending the company multiple reminders and emails to send repair or replacement in warranty, nothing has happened. Spare yourself the frustration. They aren’t going to honor your warranty, and this is too expensive for such bad warranty service.
Nice design....poor quality

Disappointed - 27 days ago

Received one of these as a gift a couple of years ago. Loved the design and the mug...still do. Unfortunately after about 6 months the charging base would frequently not charge the cup. Eventually the base wouldn't make connection at all. I discovered one of the connection pins had recessed into the base and would no longer touch the charging ring on the bottom of the cup. I have resorted to using of piece of tinfoil to set on the base creating contact between pins but this is finicky and obviously inefficient. It seems to me an appliance this expensive should be designed to perform without manual intervention. I note from other comments I am not the only one experiencing this problem
Love them!

I bought 2 (one for myself and one for my husband) 3-4 years ago (I honestly can’t remember because it’s been so long ago) for a Christmas gift after and ad on Facebook and they are still just as good as when I first bought them. The coating on the inside of my cup (white) has started to wear off but my husbands cup (black) is still in great condition. We use it EVERY day!!! I don’t know if things have changed over the last few years but ours have been phenomenal! I’ll keep these for as long as they will last. Hopefully they will be just as good when we have to buy new ones.
Cute but good

Cute and could last a bit longer. But not bad. Maybe change the app to be a little bit more user friendly.

My children gifted me this mug five years ago and it’s only now starting to lose its battery life. I use it every day off the coaster and allows me to set my tea at a specific temperature and keep it just the way I like it. I love this mug and I am about to buy another one.

I received two in the space of 8 months and the bottom of the inside of the cups wore off. Be careful with any spoon. Should be able to stir coffee however.

Great for keeping my tea hot for a long time. BUT the keeping it clean is difficult. The inside darkens and no matter the soap, or use of vinegar and or baking soda could not get it fully clean.
Highly recommend

My husband got this for me as a birthday gift, and I LOVE it! My biggest annoyance with hot drinks is when they go cold and trying to reheat them. With ember my drink stays at the perfect temperature (as predicted by the cup) the entire time. I can adjust the temperature manually with the app as well. It's easy to clean and holds a charge for over an hour.
Great for mug people

I’ve had this mug around a year now and love it, allows me to tend to other things while keeping my coffee hot. A must buy if you prefer mugs over travel mugs and etc. I am looking forward to the new colors releasing on 9/10!

I absolutely love this 10 oz but I’m disappointed my mug does not work anymore. These are very pricey to have it quit after less than 3 months. It was a gift to me.

Why do I have to ask - 2 months ago
I bought this for my grandma who has dementia because she'd forget she had coffee and it would get cold. My mom, her caregiver, didn't know how this SHOULD work, so I don't think she ever even set up the app. I inherited the mug when my grandma went into a home and it wouldn't even charge. The charger was working, but the mug wasn't blinking. I looked and there was bubbling between the 2 charging rings. I talked to my mom who confirmed no one would have microwaved it (because grandma was afraid of using the microwave and I'd told my mom and dad not to). I put that information in my claim to ember, along with letting them know they don't have a dishwasher. Ember wrote back and said the damage looked like it was microwaved. I just told them it wasn't microwaved so they wouldn't even go that route. They also sent me an invoice for $90 if I chose to replace the item out of warranty. Absolutely not. If I can't trust it to work for even 8 months (or maybe even at all), why would I buy it again? I cannot tell you how disappointed I am in this company. I can't recommend this mug.
After two years I still love my Ember mugs

I’ve had both my ember mugs (fell I love with two colors) for a couple of years and I LOVE them. Both mugs keep my coffee at 140 degrees for around 90 minutes, which is plenty of time to savor a cup or two. I’m looking for an excuse to buy another. Highly recommend them.

This is my third ember and have had issues with quality. It is a year old but for the last six months the charging pad has had the known mfr issue where the spring on the charging in fails. Now I’m experiencing very short charge/battery life. I bought These as gifts for 4-5 friends relatives. Hope theirs are not broken too.
