Q: The remote buttons trigger the same movement with the arms and the wheels don't actually move. Also, the robots aren't powerful enough to knock each other over. Is this accurate, or did I get a lemon?

A: We've had the same experience. There's not much power to these at all but our 3-year-old is having fun. I don't think they'd be entertaining for 6+.

Triggered review. Dont buy this junk ir any FAO junk.
For years I've avoided FOA because I got burned by their cheap crap when my son was younger. My in laws got these and the boys were so excited. These things absolutely suck. They literally roll up to each other and swing arms endlessly without enough power to knock each other over. So, naturally, you tell the kids to back up and roll towards each other while punching to gain power on their punch.....THERE IS NO BACK UP. you can only roll forward. The company was legitimately SO CHEAP, they couldn't make a remote controlled object move in reverse....it's like they're trying to become the laughing stock of toys 🙄🙄

It makes it seem like these drive around. They don't, they barely move and it's only by moving their arms. The wheels are not motorized. Really disappointing.

Instructions / Review
The connectivity of the remotes is about 2ft distance and you have to be pointing right at the robot, they work. theres no real "skill" in this its just by chance. after one robot gets knocked down 3 times you have to turn it off then turn it back on to get it to go again. Dont connect the second player (red) remote if playing in 1 player mode. the remotes are difficult to understand, you have to push down and slide the buttons the direction you want them to go. there is no reverse they dont work well unless on a very flat surface. I hope this review helps those who are struggling to use them. Definitely not worth the price.

not worth the money
My son is very disapointed they don't work well they are very slow and the remotes keept mixing up. The robots don't knock each other down. Definietly not worth the money at all.

Disappointing
My 4 year old bought this toy with his piggy bank money, I would have not bought it for him… the robots pretty much just move their arms from side to side, not a big range of motion. It’s boring because they don’t really do anything and the remotes get mixed signals, sometimes he’s using one remote and both bots are moving. I don’t think it’s worth the price tag, very boring toy. Trust the other reviews, get something else.

Don't work
Their aesthetic is the only thing they have going for them. No power to them and too slow to knock over the opponent.

Doesnt work
My son just bought these with birthday money and they didn’t work at all. Neither bot rolled forward, and the red one barely even moved its arms. Really disappointing for what used to be a quality brand of toys!

Only One Working Robot
Wow— I wish I had read the reviews before purchasing this item in store. My son bought this with some birthday money, which he was very excited about! As soon I we unpackaged them and installed the batteries, we found that the red robot was not functioning. Such a disappointment for us both! Now we have to drive back to Target to return. Don’t waste your time with this one.
