Good value, nice features
Wasn't looking for cutting edge, replacing a similar watch but everything was touch screen. I actually like the various buttons to access menu items. Good battery life, easy to set up and has most of the features you need.

Yes!
I love it for the step count and tracking my workouts! I have noticed the heart rate can be a little erratic at times. For example when I'm walking it will be reading really low. I also have noticed for sleep it records almost no REM sleep. Overall though it is great! It helps me stay motivated and push myself more to stay healthy.

Great watch until the battery starts failing.
This is a great watch until after about a year and a half, the watch would not hold the charge and as time is goes on, the battery runs out quicker and quicker. From holding a charge for approximately 10 days to two weeks when first purchased, the watch now hold a charge for about four days. Not happy with this feature at all. Otherwise the watch function is beautifully.

Love my Garmin!
I was a Fitbit user forever. I got tired of how inaccurate it was. Didn't track miles or times correctly. Tried Garmin and I love it. I will never go back.

Great for running!
I bought this with running in mind and it did not disappoint. I appreciate the long battery life to make charging less of a hassle. I also like that I only need to press a couple buttons to start and finish run. The heartbeat, VO2 max information, and GPS mapping is useful for me.

Nice watch, but...
I bought the Garmin Forerunner 55 about 7 months ago. Overall, I like this watch, as it is my third Garmin watch. But, one problem had been charging it. At about 5 months I had a few problems getting it to charge, as well as to sync with Garmin Express. At 7 months it has become very hard to charge and sync. My previous watch, the 45, took 2.5 years to have this problem.

Sturdy
It started poring down rain on me a week ago and it worked great in the rain. Usually when my fitbit would get wet it would stop working but the Garmin worked great and didn't have an issue at all.

Great tool watch for running!!
Replacing my Vivoactive after falling onto it and shattering the glass. I wish I had the budget for a Fenix but the 55 is great!

Loved Garmin, not the model for me
I bought this and ended up wearing it in conjunction with my Apple watch for about a week. I ended up falling in love with Garmin, but the watch itself did not feature enough “smart” features for me to want to sacrifice my Apple Watch. I ended up returning and ordering the Venu which has been the best of both worlds! I’m a Garmin convert but this wasn’t the model for me

Poor battery life
I bought this two weeks ago, and unfortunately, I’m not impressed with the battery life. I can maybe get 3 days out of it before I have to recharge. I am slightly disappointed, as this is my 2nd watch from Garmin, and I was extremely pleased with my first watch.

Accurate Measurements
I have only had this a couple weeks but the accuracy is so much better than the app I was using on my phone. The directions are hard to understand as the control buttons are very small and hard to read the labels but overall I am very happy.
