Q: What is the difference between the Venu 3 and 4 ?

submitted by Kara c - 6 months ago
  • A: Hi, thanks for reaching out about Garmin Venu 3S The Garmin Venu 4 (released in late 2025) is a significant upgrade over the Venu 3, moving the series closer to a high-end sports watch like the Forerunner while keeping its "lifestyle" look. Here are a few of the biggest differences/updates: Built-in LED Flashlight All-Metal Case The Venu 4 has two buttons, while the Venu 3 has three. Garmin moved more controls to the touchscreen and voice interface on the newer model for a cleaner look. The Venu 4 supports dual-frequency (multi-band) GPS for much better accuracy in cities with tall buildings or under heavy tree cover. The Venu 3 uses standard All-Systems GPS. Both use the Elevate Gen 5 heart rate sensor (capable of ECG and Skin Temperature), but the Venu 4 has updated firmware for better health trending data. Training Readiness: A score that tells you how ready you are for a hard workout based on sleep, recovery, and stress. Training Status & Load: Insights into whether your training is "productive," "peaking," or "straining." Running Dynamics: Vertical oscillation and ground contact time (previously required a chest strap or a Forerunner watch). Sleep Alignment: Tracks how your sleep patterns align with your circadian rhythm. Lifestyle Logging: Allows you to log caffeine and alcohol intake directly on the watch to see how they impact your recovery. Smart Wake Alarm: Wakes you up during a light sleep cycle within a window of your set alarm time. If you have any additional questions, we welcome you to contact MyTGTtech at 833-848-8324 every day, between 7am-11pm CST.

Q: Is this watch suitable for someone with a nickel allergy?

submitted by Casey - 7 months ago
  • A: Hi, thanks for reaching out about Garmin Venu 3S The Garmin Venu 3S might cause nickel allergy issues because its stainless steel components (clasp, back) can release nickel, but many users with nickel sensitivity find it manageable by keeping it clean, avoiding prolonged wetness, or using alternative straps, while others react significantly, so it's a risk requiring careful monitoring and proactive care, especially if the irritation occurs around the charging port. If you have any additional questions, we welcome you to contact MyTGTtech at 833-848-8324 every day, between 7am-11pm CST.

Q: Is this watch suitable for someone with a nickle allergy?

submitted by Casey - 7 months ago
  • A: Hi, thank you for reaching out about Garmin Venu 3S. The Garmin Venu 3S may not be suitable for someone with a nickel allergy as its stainless steel components (bezel, buckle, and buttons) contain trace amounts of nickel. If you have any additional questions, we welcome you to contact MyTGTtech at 833-848-8324 every day, between 7am-11pm CST.

Q: Why pick the venu over the lily watch

submitted by Joyce - 7 months ago
  • A: Hi, thank you for reaching out about Garmin Venu 3S. You should pick the Garmin Venu 3S over the Garmin Lily watch if you prioritize a comprehensive, advanced set of features including onboard GPS, music storage, on-screen workouts, and the ability to take calls directly from your wrist, as the Lily is a more basic, style-focused option. If you have any additional questions, we welcome you to contact MyTGTtech at 833-848-8324 every day, between 7am-11pm CST.

Q: Does the Venu 3s work well with Samsung Ultra22 phones? It seems iPhone users have no issues but it seems some Samsung users have issues.

submitted by mcv - 8 months ago
  • A: Hi, thanks for reaching out about Garmin Venu 3S Yes, the Garmin Venu 3s can work with Samsung Galaxy S22 phones, but it may not work perfectly, and some users have reported issues like delayed syncing, problems with phone call functionality, and Bluetooth connectivity problems. While it's possible to get a Venu 3s and a Samsung phone to work together, it is not a seamless experience for everyone, and firmware updates may be required. Venu 3S First Impression has been positive

I bought the Venu 3S a few weeks back to replace a fitness tracker from another manufacturer. I was looking for a product that was more robust without sacrificing the health data provided. So far the Venu 3S seems to be a quality product with a wealth of health information stored/provided in a logical manner. Time will tell, but first impression has been positive.

    Poor user interface

Poor user interface. The first email you get from Garmin is good. Don't download the user manual as jumps into details about activities before they tell you some of the basic menu moves. They kind have got things backwards. It is very hard to learn how to use this watch by trial a error like you can a Fitbit.

Fabulous Watch- But Not for Golfers

My husband LOVED his new Garmin watch. The features are wonderful. He had a FitBit for over 10 years, and was looking for something with extended battery life and great metrics- this watch is all that AND it is very attractive. However, the first time that he wore the watch was on a golf day. Half way through the round, he noticed that the face was cracked (there had been no impact incidents). Garmin does not replace watch faces- so we returned the watch, thinking it was a fluke. When He got his replacement Garmin watch, we put a face protector on the watch, before he put it on. Then the exact same thing happened. The face cracked on the first hole. Seems to be a design issue.

    Perfect Upgrade!

I recently upgraded from the Vivoactive 5 to the Venu 3s and could not be happier with my new watch! I love the added functionality that comes with it, specifically the ability to track Hiking activities and sync with my Natural Cycles app for cycle tracking! Along with these functions, I was looking for a more elevated smart fitness watch, and the Venu 3s fits perfectly in this category. I looks nice enough for daily wear, but still has all of the functions needed for my running and hiking workouts.

    Fabulous Switch over!!!

Purchased a refurbished one from Beach Camera with a 2yr warranty. The watch is flawless. Coming from the Samsung Galaxy all I can say is, do the switch. I was sick of the constant charging, every single day!!! My new Venu is gorgeous, lighter, many more functions, simpler and at 7 days the battery is still 43%. My Galaxy was doen to counting steps and monitorin sleep sometimes. That's it. I'm overjoyed at being able to actually use a smart watch!!

    Best Upgrade!

I have found this to be a substantial upgrade to my Venu SQ. I am getting 6-7 days of charge. Love the new features. My biggest complaint is the 18mm band. I feel like this is too small for a 41mm watch face and I have a small wrist. I have also found that if my phone is not close, I am unable to delete my notices-not a deal breaker but...

Beautiful, functional smart watch that does it all

For years and years I opted for Garmin's slim fitness trackers over their smart watches because of the form factor: I preferred an unobtrusive band over the bulkier wrist watch style. After losing my fitness tracker (it popped out of a replacement band), I faced the choice of replacing it or upgrading to a smart watch like the Venu 3s. I am so glad that I chose the latter, because the extra features are absolutely worth the extra cost. With the fitness tracker, I was limited to a handful of built-in fitness apps, while the Venu seems to have every sport and fitness activity one could imagine. And I was able to customize which apps display in the primary menu while still having easy access to all of the others. The color display is beautiful and very easy to read. The built-in GPS works more accurately than my old fitness tracker's dependence on my phone GPS. The sleep quality information is important to me, and it works extremely well. The three-button menu system is very easy to use, compared to the old fitness tracker's menu. The Venu has additional features that may prove useful but I have not tried yet, including the ability to take phone calls and respond to text messages while connected to my phone, and to store music or use phone-connected music apps for listening while engaging in activities. While the built-in speaker is adequate, connect Bluetooth earbuds provide a much better quality sound. Finally, after a week or so, I adapted to the larger size of the watch, and it does not seem at all bulky to me. I am completely satisfied with the Venu 3s.

    Battery Dies too fast

I truly love this Garmin but it dies after a day. The first week I had it, it lasted 10 days and since then it’ll charge fully, say I have 11 days of battery and then die the next day. Ive tried everything to fix the battery or settings to use minimal battery but nothing works. After three weeks I give up!
