However, if your hair tends to look brassy when dyed, using a color with gold can enhance the tendency to turn brassy.

If you don’t have gray to cover and don’t need to lighten dyed hair, we have high lift color made specifically for lightening dark hair like yours (without bleaching). Use colors from the Nutrisse Ultra Color collection. To go to a light brown/ dark blonde, use the HL1 bright toffee. While there are more options for medium brown hair, for dark brown and darker, to go any lighter than a light brown/ dark blonde requires a bleach lightener.
