Q: Why does the blender leak the liquid by the blades. 4 blenders all same problem?

Q: Can you clean the blade? A review I read said there was mold on bottom of blade and they couldn't reach it. Thanks.

submitted byHamiltonBeachTeam - 5 years agoBrand expertA: From a chef's perspective in case you do not have a dishwasher, one way to clean it would be to insert dish soap and little warm (not hot) water. Turn it on to distribute the soapy water around the blades. Pour it out and continue to wash until one's own liking. Best to do this after every use to prevent the build-up of mold or bacteria.

Never got to use item. Arrived from Target with shipping box in tact but item box damaged and also taped shut. Cup inside was cracked. Clearly this item had been previously purchased and returned due to the damage, yet Target shipped it out to another customer. I returned at the store, but was not refunded the Target circle rewards I had used toward my order. Makes me question the condition of gifts I have sent directly to friends from Target. They clearly go ahead and try to resell returned, damaged merchandise.

Works great, but not with frozen items. If you put ice in, it’s okay, but frozen fruit doesn’t blend. However, we’ve had a free different kinds and this one is small, which, and does the job with the correct ingredients.

Idk why there are so many bad reviews, we’ve had this blender for almost a year & it’s so easy, my son wanted a personal blender, I didn’t want him using my expensive one & it’s been great. the bottom where the reviews are saying it gets black, take a paper towel & wipe it out. I took a picture of the blender after using it almost daily for a year, there’s no black. I ended up putting my ninja foodi away because this was so much more convenient. If you take care of it, it will last a long time.

Did absolutely nothing. I put frozen bananas, frozen strawberries, and milk in it. It made noise but didn’t move the fruit at all.

Buy at your own risk. Don't be fooled by the price. This is a poorly and cheaply designed blender. Mold WILL grow in parts of the blender you can see but cannot clean. I bought one bleneder and mold grew in the crevices within one week and it started to leak. I then reached out to Hamilton Beach for the warranty replacement which they did replace, but that one lasted a bit longer but still eventually grew mold and began to smell even after dishwasher cleans. The design does not let you clean the blades by hand or get underneath the blades. The bottom part of the cup also collects moisture so you can't store the cup with the bottom part down on a table or else mold and bacteria will grow. Just a very cheaply and poorly designed blender which is refelcted in the price.

I wanted a small blender for smoothies, and this is the perfect small size. However, it's just not powerful enough and the blades are too small to blend up ice cubes or even frozen bananas. I have to start with the ice already crushed and the banana cut into small cubes for it to even blend at all, and often I have to stop to stir it because it can't handle the powders unless I saturate it with liquids. No, I would not recommend it.
