My 2nd Instapot
Well, my first instapot was over-heating, but actually nothing wrong with it.....But, in the meantime, I purchased the Intant Pot Duo Plus Multi-use. I've used my original pot for a few years, 99% of the time for pressure cooking. I received my new pot on Sunday. On Tuesday, I made a pasta dish with hamburger and it worked and turned out well. TODAY, I decided to use the SLOW COOKER option. I put the food in (chicken and seasonings, broth etc) and put it on high for 4 Hours (at 2:15). After 30 minutes it was still PREHEATING. So I reset the timer, to 4 hours and it is now 4:15pm. It is still PREHEATING. I read the fine print and it said that the preheating may take up to 2.5hours! It is still preheating and the message "DO NOT OPEN LID" is now showing. I'm trying to find a phone number because this is not right. At 5PM, I will cancel tonight's slow cooking meal, open the lid, add more broth and PRESSURE COOK it. HELP! I got a quick start red book and no cookbook. Anyone know how I can call with questions?

Help Grandma Out!
My 75 yo mom received one as a gift from my sister. She did not know to use it so on a recent trip home I tried teaching my mom how to use the pressure cooker. She asked if I could sick a dot or something on the pressure cooker word as the text was too small for her old eyes even with glasses! I agreed but thought if she was having issues maybe others might be as well. So although she loves the ease if it (compared to her old weighted pressure cooker) she jokes she needs a "silver haired lady " version that had pressure, slow cook, warm, and off with big font type! I thought I'd post here in hopes the development team is looking for a new line! Grandma friendly appliances!

Has downsides
I have had many instant pot duos over the years. This one is my favorite because of the color, design and the whisper quiet. However, the lights on the function buttons are gone except for 3. So now I only have 3 presets. Also, it's the first Instant Pot I bought that does not slow cook. The presets stopped right after the warranty was up so I couldn't contact customer service. Bummer!! So, I need to buy another one and I really need the slow cook to work as well as the presets. Would love another whisper quiet, but not sure I should.

Our Instapot DUO
Our Instapot DUO 6qt was given to us as a gift recently as we use a rice cooker, a crock pot and a pressure cooker. Now we only use our Instapot!Love the unit and its ease of use.

Quick, easy, and convenient to cook healthy meals.
I have 2. A 3 qt and 6 qt. I could even use a larger one, but as a single person the two will do. I've used a pressure cooker for years before the InstaPot and didn't see what all th fuss was about until I got one. It makes eating well easier and quicker. I travel quite a lot and even take one with me on the road for easy healthy meals. If I could only have one electric kitchen appliance it would be my InstantPot. When I'm looking for recipes I always go to the InstaPot app first.

Whisper-quite shield system hides a major flaw
I'm ever so happy but I can't give it a four for 2 reasons, 1) the instructions I got were useless as a first time owner I couldn't make heads or tales over them even after hours on youtube they are still useless. 2) whisper-quite steam release hide the release value and once, cos once is all I need the pressure valve was for some reason stuck in the released position even tho the switch was in the seal position. I confess the box may have been missing the real user manual and all I received was a quick start guide.

Very versatile pressure cooker. Use this to cook my beans and it does a fabulous job. I've also used to to make ox tail soup and it was delicious!! Can't complain! Definitely recommend to friends and family!

Love it
This is one of my favorite pressure cookers by far! It has many different modes such as pressure cook, slow cook, rice and many more! I used the slow cook feature to make me some dip and it came out great! I was worried about it not being easy to clean out after I made my dip but I was wrong, it was super easy! Literally just detach the bowl from the cooker and wash it like a regular dish! If you're looking for a multi use pressure cooker give this one a try you won't regret it!

So many great functions in one machine!
I can't impress upon the importance of reading the instructions. Frankly, this makes operating this machine so much easier. Absolutely love the construction of the pot. Excellent quality and the brushed gray and steel gives this pot a very polished look. This pot unfortunately, has to be stored in my cabinet as it is by no means small. It's pretty weighty as well and sadly I just don't have the counter space for it to permanently occupy. That said, I really love all of the cooking functions offered. Thank you, Instant Pot for the safety features such as, Over heat protection, and the 'Ok to open the lid' message; it really makes using this machine more enjoyable. Love that the pot and lid are dishwasher safe. We make a lot of rice in my household and it comes out to perfection. I have two teenage boys who love to cook and have enjoyed experimenting with this pot. They look up recipes online and go for it. Chicken and Rice has been a favorite, and it comes out oh so good. And since there are so many safety features, it puts my mind at ease when they're using this machine.

Beyond Amazing!!!!!
OMG!!!!! Where has this been my whole. I have heard so many good things about the Instant Pot, so I decided to try it out for myself and I am Beyond excited about this product. I have never used a Instant Pot so it took me a bit of time to learn all the optionsthis unit provides, but once I figured it out 'Watch Out' cause I have made some Amazing food that my 'Whole' family just Loves.The unit itself has so many features and functions and the digital screen is so easy to read and let's you know everything. The size is Great and fits Alot of food. So whether you are cooking for 2 or 6, you are going to be ready to go with this AMAZING product!!!!!!! My family and I are Beyond excited to use this.
