Bought them while back for 150 dollars!they are more like 50 dollar headphones !their app is very poor and basic!while running in winter with hoodie soon as hoodie touches the headphones it beeps and there is no way stopping it even if you choose none from gestures on app or summer if you swear while walking or outside doing yard work !it should have a lock button on app !and yet they didnt somehow think of that!at this price point most other headphones when you take them off and they go to sleep !on this is i believe minimum setting is 30 min!so when you take them off you need to store them in case right away other wise not sure how you really turn them off!overal ok sound quality very poorly designed app !

Like the comfort and sound quality. Dislike the plastic piece that connects them for around-the-neck wear. It presses on the back of your ears. So, I just don’t attach that part. Also, battery doesn’t last that long, and sometimes the earphones don’t charge properly. No way of knowing it until you try to wear them and they shut off. No gauges on case showing you charge level of each ear piece, just a flashing white light on outside of case.

We appreciate your feedback on our JBL Soundgear Sense. To isolate the issue, we recommend cleaning the contact pins on the case and earbuds using a cotton swab with alcohol. These pins are sensitive to dust. Please ensure the pins are dried before placing them back in the case. We also recommend using our JBL Headphones App to check the battery percentage of both of the earbuds and the case. If you need more help, please contact us.

These are comfortable, sound good and easy to use. Another brand I tried was so uber sensitive touching the ear pieces and that caused issues. They charge quickly. Nice case too.

So I’ve been looking for months now they’re to decide what brand of wireless Bluetooth headphones I should get… I just happened to be at Target and saw they had 1 set of JBL’s left for purchase! I looked the reviews up and decided to take the chance and boy I DO NOT regret buying them at all!! They were on sale, the best $119 I’ve spent in a long time :)) I definitely recommend these headphones if you’re in need of some new ones!!

So I bought these to replace some JBL earbuds that were discontinued. I fully went into these knowing that they were not going to function like my beats earbuds. I fully understand that apple has proprietary tech that allows using their hardware easier. Still I was curious about the out of ear design. After 2 months: The sound is great, the interaction is sketchy. So 1st the controls on the buds is not intuitive. I definitely would prefer a tactile button. 2nd, I like to roll around using only 1 bud. If I select the left bud, I have no option on volume reduction or even turning it off. I have to pull the bud out to get away from it (I find this the most frustrating). And the runner up for frustrating is the pairing. It’s not intuitive on apple devices. Perhaps these will coexist better on androids. I paired them with my ipad for temporary use. Then later in the day went into the yard to do some work. Every time I got near the house they connected to my ipad and told me so. So it was a few hours of listening to this. Eventually coming in to unpair them. Now trying to repair is also cumbersome. Overall, coming from the apple ecosystem. I think these were a mistake for me. I much prefer the way apple product seamlessly pair and move from device to device.

1 reply from Customer Support team - 1 year ago
Thank you for your inquiry. If you are pairing a new source device, enabling Bluetooth on the device is necessary so that it can discover the product. Find the unit on the Bluetooth list and select it. Test it by playing music. If this does not solve the problem, you will need to do a reset and manually re-pair again. To reset JBL Soundgear Sense. Tap twice on either the left or right earbud, tap again for the third time, then hold for 5 seconds. For further assistance, please contact customer support.

Sound quality is pretty good. However I am having an issue with the battery life between the two ear pieces. The left ear piece drains down double the time the right ear piece does.. I just use them to listen to music and they are fully charged when in use. I end up losing the left one 2 hrs in..
1 reply from Customer Support team - 1 year ago
Thanks for your feedback. Please know that it's possible that the battery on the left earbud of your JBL Soundgear Sense is losing its capacity. Volume and usage can affect the battery's life. Even if listening at maximum volume to heavy bass music, the battery should last longer than 60% of the published playtime. For further assistance, please contact our customer support.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Since I am mostly working or working out. I need earphones that are comfy, easy-to-carry, and that have a long-lasting battery life. For me, these earphones check the comfy aspect because they go over the ear, with a snug fir, and not directly in your ear which can be uncomfortable. In addition, their box is very easy to carry and can fit in your pocket. Lastly, these earphones have a very long battery life which is amazing since I only have to charge them two times a week max. In the end, these earphones bring so much value to my life since I need them for work and fitness-related purposes.

I decided to jump in and buy these open ear earbuds in the hope that they would help with the following in order of importance; 1) Get rid of the air-lock sensation in my ears when talking on Zoom calls caused by most in-ear earbuds. 2) Avoid the fatigue and discomfort caused by wearing in-ear earbuds for prolonged periods. 3) Continue to enjoy excellent sound for work and play. These earbuds delivered on all of these goals so I am now enjoying listening to music again - even while working as I don't have the urge to rip them off as soon as a call has finished. My only quibble (but not enough to take away a star) is that the case feels a little cheap and is difficult to open. But the comfort and sound quality are excellent!

The JBL Soundgear Sense are a great example of a new breed of open-ear headphones that offer solid, customisable sound and a versatile design for exercise. It would be great if they sat a little more discreetly, but the good definitely outweighs the not so good here, making them a great set of air conduction-style headphones.
