John Frieda Precision Foam Colour

I needed a new black hair color. Was using the Garnier for the longest but they had to of changed the formula because it was turning green as it sat on my roots. Saw this online at Target and decided to give it a try. LOVE! I love the foam, very easy to use. Did not stain my skin. My roots are BLACK BLACK just like I like them. Will be using this going forward! Even my co-worker commented on how black my hair was.. love that for me!

No gray coverage at all. This was a waste of money. I would not purchase again.

If you have white hair this is not the solution I put my at night and 2 days later I have again white hairs the cover is not good at all

Followe directions perfectly. No foam at all. Stuff is complete junk.

I love this hair color!! It is simple to use. The foam keeps it from being messy plus there’s enough conditioner to use on my shoulder length hair 1-2 times a week for at least a month after I color it. I have used different brands and different shades of brunette hair color for years and have found the perfect one for me. I will never use a different hair color again.

Smell last time about knocked me over not to mention caused my nose & eyes to water & burn. This my be part my reason for hair loss. I'm searching now for new product.

I ordered the 4 deep dark brown color, wanting to be a darker color than my 5-ish brown tone that was getting brassy from sun exposure. I also have really tough grays that my stylist has to take extra steps to cover. My grays were showing early and I was hoping to skip the stylist this time and gave this a whirl. I did extra time on my roots and extra time for the grays and probably extra time still as I went through with a brush for my roots. This did NOT cover the grays. This seems to have a lot of tones to it, showing highlights of red where I was brassy. It’s surprisingly close to the dark tones in my deep walnut dresser. While it is pretty enough of a color, I was trying for a deep darker true brown, and that’s not really what I got. Given this is 1 hr post-color and the color will likely lighten over time, it’s probably too light for my expectations. However, I can say that this is definitely not a cooler tone and is pleasant against my fair-neutral skin, even if a bit too red for me; I wish it had covered my brassy tones better. I also saw a lot of shed when I colored, especially for having showered this morning and already removed much of my standard shed. If you don’t have gray yet and you are thinking about going dark brown but are hesitant, this may be the brown for you, but it’s not for me.

Ended up losing so much hair after using this product. To the point where I lost patches of hair. Intense burning days after using. Absolutely awful.

DO NOT BUY!!!!! Causes hair loss!! I’m sick with regret and hope I can save someone from going through what I’m experiencing. I used this product twice and didn’t connect until the second time that it was causing massive shedding like I’ve never seen before, with no end in sight. Please read this and stay away! I wish I had looked at reviews at other places where many have shared their experiences before I used it. RUN AWAY!!! The allergic reaction and hair loss is not worth the risk!

The produce was amazing

I like the foam application, because it seems to last longer than other OTC hair coloring products.

This hair dye is amazing. I’d say maybe a slight learning curve, but very easy to figure out. The color payoff is better than any box dye I’ve used and it’s not as messy as cream color. The dye does not stain skin as much as other dyes either. I will be repurchasing again and again. If you need to know how many boxes to purchase based off of hair length/coarseness, my hair is about 30" long, medium thick 2b/2c and 2 boxes were more than enough! This is also great considering that most cream colors I would need 3 boxes.

The foam is a game changer! I typically make a mess and I did not do that with the foam. Not sure how long it will last but it looks great !

Definitely not dark chocolate brown more like red velvet.

I love the concept of foaming applications, but I after I dried my hair, I saw so many areas that had been missed. Another disappointing part was how quickly it lifted over the greys it did cover.

This was horrible! Didn’t cover grays at all and washed out by the following weekend. Will NEVER buy again!

perfect for at home touch ups. makes me hair feel incredible after use. lasts a little over a month. gloves are huge but it's fine. no hair breakage or damage! not sure where everyone's talking about hair fall out. i get so many compliments on my hair when i use this!

There is NO WAY the good reviews for this product are real. I’ve been coloring my hair at home every 6 weeks for nearly a decade. I bought this brand of dye bc mine was out of stock and it’s hands down the worst hair dye I’ve ever used. It’s messy, the gloves are huge and slip all over the place, the foam falls everywhere, it’s impossible to get close to the roots around your face without getting dye all over your skin, it didn’t cover grays well despite leaving it on for the recommended time, my list goes on and on. I have nothing good to say about this product and I will never use it again.
