    New formula

    The new formula is awful.i have used John Frieda GO blonder shampoo amd conditioner for years and this new formula smells horrible, hair feels coated and limp amd not clean and does not lighten like the old formula. PLEASE bring back the original.

    Saving time !!

    I have used this product for over 20 years and it is a favorite shampoo for highlights. I have not been able to find it in stores lately and thrilled I found it on line. So a quick order and it was here in a short time no more running around to stores looking for it.

    The new formula smell is not great!

    I love the shampoo and how well it cleans my hair, but I’m not a fan of the new formula smell. It smells like a candy necklace, which makes me feel like I’m using a product for a preteen. So sad because I really loved the citrusy floral smell of the old formula! I really hope they change it back!!

    works so well the brighter blonde catches my eye in mirrors

    I’m shocked at how much it worked!! My bleached/colored parts are like a honey blonde and after using this, the brighter sections of creamy blonde literally catch my eye in the mirror. I love using this every once in a while for a boost and will keep using it. btw, i was not gifted this, i paid for it myself. OH lastly i never used the matching conditioner, the shampoo worked well on its own.

    New smell is awful

    I used to love this shampoo and conditioner. it always worked great and smelled wonderful. The new smell is terrible, and it does not seem to work as good as it used to. I have started looking for another shampoo/conditioner. Please bring back the other formula.

    New Smell is Terrible

    This has always been my go to shampoo but the new scent smells strongly like some sort of lemon cleaning supply. I really hate it. Will not buy again unless I can be sure the scent improves. Ideally, back to the smell before which I liked and got compliments on how my hair smelled.

    Fine, but no noticeable lightening

    Blonde shampoo

    Good for lightening over time

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Unfortunately, I didn’t have enough time to use this for an extended period in order to see the full effects. I only wash my hair twice week and this shampoo was a tad bit drying so I didn’t want to use it every single time I washed my hair. I saw some mild lightning from it, but I think as I near the end of the bottle, I’ll probably see more. I didn’t include photo because you couldn’t really see the change in the before and after photos, but from what I see online with other people’s experience, I’m hopeful that it would have a more dramatic effect overtime.
