Q: Why does it say cancer warning or has chemicals

submitted by Carol - 1 year ago
  • A: Hi Carol, Proposition 65 was enacted in 1986 in the State of California. It requires an updated list once a year of potentially harmful materials. Whirlpool/KitchenAid meets or exceeds all standards for safe materials, but our products do have cords, which causes them to make the list. Any time you have a cord, there is the potential for it to come in contact with something hazardous.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have the 13 cup processor but a;l I wanted was a small one to do a couple of onions and garlic chopped as an example. I have bought inferior qualities over the years. Best choice I made was getting this one. So very quick and no struggle from the machine. Don’t put off getting. I really am enjoying. PS. It is dishwasher proof.

My best birthday present in 85 years!

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I treated myself on my 85th birthday on May 25th & am very pleased with my food chopper. KitchenAid is a brand that I've loved for many decades, not only the small appliances, but also the large ones! I lived in my house in North Vancouver for 55 years & during that time I had my kitchen completely replaced 3 times. The last time, in 2012, every appliance was KitchenAid. Sadly, my husband passed away in 2018, and 3 years later I had to sell my house, but luckily, found a condo 6 km away. I hate the appliances here & miss my old kitchen. My heritage is Hungarian, I love to cook & make soups and stews from scratch. My food chopper comes in so handy! I also use it to make pesto sauce. The KitchenAid Food Chopper was the best birthday present that I have ever given myself! I look forward to making soups in the fall and winter.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had my upper teeth pulled Last October and I've been using my Kitchen Aid Chopper to make food that I can swallow. I've lost about 30 pounds due to only mushy foods. Which wasn't a surprise. I feel tons better for it. It has been tough but this little chopper has done the trick of making new foods I never would have tried. This is the second one I have purchased and it is extremely useful.
