Great coice
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had a previous model with a smaller bowl and several other instruments it was used For over 20 years. It finally stopped working properly. I was sorry to see that the combination chopper, whisk, and immersion blender were no longer available. Then I realized my old tools still work except for the chopping bowl. So I looked and I found this one and didn’t realize until it came that it also has a great grinder. I always hate to prepare ginger and wind up just chopping it myself into small small pieces. The grinding option on this tool worked like a charm. The other nice thing is the bowl is a bit larger so I don’t have to keep cutting things into small pieces and arranging them around a small bowl and then chopping the different items separately. It made the whole process of preparing the chopped foods much much easier. Thank you again, Cuisinart!

Did not purée my pesto
I bought this because it stated that it could purée apple sauce, thinking it could make good pesto. I was wrong. My pesto could not get puréed enough and still had pieces of basil that were too large. Should have just bought the regular mini food processor.

We're sorry to hear the Core Custom 4 Cup Chopper did not meet your expectations. As a chopper, this model is designed for lighter prep tasks and has more limited processing capabilities than our full-size food processors, which may be better suited for recipes like pesto that require a finer, smoother consistency. For best results, cutting ingredients into smaller pieces and processing in batches may help improve texture, but we also offer a variety of food processor models that may better match your needs. Thank you for sharing your feedback—it helps us continue improving our products and helping consumers find the best solution for their kitchen needs.

Don't buy
It doesn't work and it's the 1st time I used it. Was a gift. I thought Cuisinart was a good brand

Thank you for sharing your experience with the Cuisinart Core Custom 4-Cup Mini Chopper—we’re sorry to hear about the repeated issues with components breaking, especially given how important convenience is for your needs. Stopped working after only a couple of months
Unfortunately this stopped working after only a couple of months. I tried all troubleshooting options online and on YouTube and even troubleshooting on phone but nothing worked. I had registered my warranty and when I contacted to utilize it there was a huge run around and hoops to jump through but they finally agreed to send me a new one after I cut the cord on the broken one. Understand about cutting the cord but adding more plastic and electric device to landfill stinks.

We’re happy to hear we were ultimately able to assist with a warranty replacement for your Core Custom™ 4‑Cup Chopper, and we’re sorry for the inconvenience you experienced along the way. We understand your concerns regarding disposal, and the cord‑cutting step is a standard safety requirement to ensure non‑operable units cannot be reused. Better food, quickly made for all cooks.
What’s most important to me is this device’s ability to save me time and also money. i’m a single guy and I prefer to cook every day and I don’t like pre-prepared frozen meals. Onions, peppers, garlic, all chop in seconds. Homemade vinaigrettes, salad dressings and marinades happen in seconds, and taste better than bottled ones from the supermarket—preservative- free with fresh ingredients guarantee a better taste. Of course I still use my larger Cuisinart, but this food processor I use almost every day and it gives my chef’s knife a break. Don’t forget salsa, guacamole, and tapenades.

Disappointed
Purchased it several weeks ago, use it once, it worked. Now I want to use it again and it won't work, it's dead. I checked everything, plug, power supply, bowl and cover well set, nothing helps. Very disappointed.

Great for food prep
This is a high quality little food chopper as I would expect from Cuisinart. After hand surgery this chopper has been a huge help. It does take a bit of practice at first but after a little trial and error I find this easy to use. Don’t let the small size fool you. It does hold 4 cups. Every part is dishwasher safe so clean up is not a problem. Stores well too. I’m very happy with this purchase and would highly recommend!

Perfect size for me and powerful two speeds,
I replaced my old Cuisinart mini chopper with this 4 cup two speed model. 4 cusps is, for me, a good size and I really like the reversing two speed design. I have made butter, chopped vegies and course spices. Works perfectly. The two speeds are great for making butter too.

Simple, easy, does exactly what it's supposed to.
While we have a food processor, for smaller batches the 4 cup chopper provides a good base for rough/fine chops of vegetables. The buttons are basic, the cup large enough for a single medium to large onion, and the device does a fine job of chopping vegetables. The bowl is easy to clean, and a rinse between each vegetable chopped is all that's needed before proceeding to the next vegetable prep.

Does what it's supposed to do very well
Not much to say other than if you want a quick way to chop or puree, this does the job very well. Furthermore, given that it's just a blade, bowl and lid cleanup - hand wash or dishwasher - is quick.
