    7cup food processor FP-7 series

I have been using 7 cup Cuisinart food processor for over 15years, lasted very long until the lid broke. Bought the new one and do not like it, feels very flimsy and don’t like the locking mechanism. Motor and speed is not as powerful as previous one.

We’re sorry to hear your new food processor hasn’t met the expectations set by your previous model and appreciate you sharing your experience. Over time, product materials and designs can evolve to incorporate updated safety features, manufacturing processes, and efficiency standards, which may result in differences in weight, feel, and operation. Ensuring the lid is fully aligned and locked can help optimize performance, but we understand the adjustment can be frustrating. Thank you—your feedback helps us improve future models and design enhancements.

7 cup food processor works like a dream

I’ve only used my new 7 cup Cuisinart food processor once so far and it was wonderful. Save me so much time instead of hand shredding all of the zucchini for zucchini bread for our animal shelter volunteers. Thank you, Cuisinart

    Great food processor

Love my new Cuisinart 7-cup food processor! Does a great job, is easy to use and easy to clean! Also, I like how all the parts are self-stored in the processor, as I have limited storage space in cabinets and drawers.

    First and Best Use

My first use of the processor was a great success! I used it to make dog biscuits for my pooch. Before I used the mini processor and now I can make two batches at once. Works fine and there is less to clean up with this sized unit.

Can't recommend this 7-Cup Food Processor enough!

A beautifully designed 7-Cup Food Processor, so much nicer and easier to use than I had expected. Sometimes you get lucky and without a doubt Cuisinart nailed it with this food processor. Effortless shredding, cutting, chopping, mixing. The snap on lid is seamless and so easy to handle. No broken or chipped parts to worry about. It's all there and the clean-up is simple. Love the storage solution they created for the bowl and blades. Can't recommend this 7-Cup Food Processor enough!

    Medicare design flaw.

I bought this for work: within a month the bowl processing bowl became unusable. A tiny square piece of plastic on the underside of the bowl apparently cracked off. Now there is no mechanism to actuate the motor. Awful design. And there seems to be very little ways to purchase a new bowl for the machine. You made the entire product dependent on a flimsy 1/4 “ piece of plastic. 1/10 roundly recommended to anyone who cooks seriously.

Thank you for sharing your experience with the 7‑Cup Food Processor (FP‑7), and we’re sorry to hear about the damage to the bowl and the impact it’s had on usability. The processor relies on safety‑interlock components in the bowl to engage the motor, and a cracked or damaged interlock can prevent operation; replacement options may be available depending on part availability. Our Consumer Assistance Center can review this with you and discuss possible solutions at 1‑800‑726‑0190—please reference Ticket #8900576222 when you call. Thank you for your feedback, as it helps us identify opportunities to strengthen durability and improve future models.

Even better than my old processor

My old Cuisinart food processor lasted for 15 years and could still probably take on another decade if the blades hadn't dulled. My new processor is just as wonderful as its predecessor, except now there is a caddy for the blades and the lid closure is updated. Also, the cookbook has more fun recipes.

    Just the right size

Perfect for my small kitchen. Simple to use. Great for slicing or dicing vegetables. I use it to shred Parmesan cheese and to make pesto. The pieces are top-rack dishwasher safe and store inside the bowl.

Not your grandma's processor. Not a compliment

I just bought this. Sadly, my husband tossed the box because now I'm stuck with a flimsy piece of junk. Every year I make coconut candy for Easter. Last year, the bowl broke again on my 40 year old unit. I made the candy with a box grater. My knuckles were skinned. I bought this model because it got great reviews. Maybe I got a dud because this thing rocked despite my putting one sliver at a time down the feed tube. It didn't even grate it properly, a slice of coconut just flopped around on top of the disc and larger chunks of coconut found its way into the bowl with the grated stuff. I am sure the lip of the lid is going to break after a few uses because it's not sturdy. Horrible design. I am so mad that I bought this thing. I should have sacrificed my knuckles. It would have been less frustrating.

Thank you for sharing your experience with us—we’re truly sorry to hear your new food processor didn’t perform as expected, especially for a tradition as meaningful as making coconut candy. When grating firmer ingredients like fresh coconut, using slightly smaller pieces, applying steady pressure through the feed tube, and ensuring the disc is fully locked into place can help prevent rocking and improve consistency. We appreciate you bringing these concerns to our attention and the opportunity to help improve your experience

    Everything wrong with modern appliances

Got this brand new out of the box and it wouldn't turn on. Come to find out that a millimeter sized piece of place broke off the bowl stopping it from turning on. Why possibly does an entire machine have such a miniscule weak point holding everything together? Wish companies still made things to last and not break the first chance they geti
