Good experience
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great mixer - I have only used it a handful of times so far. No problems. The mixing bowl is a little harder to put on than my older machine. My previous machine was not an artisan model.

Awesome but....
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm really glad that I purchased one of these. I've wanted a good stand mixer for about 10 years now. The product is good but for some reason while using the dough hook at about 2 speed, on doughs that are 65% hydration or less the motor definitely seems to be struggling a bit. Mind you I am not making massive batches. I started with a Poolish and slowly Incorporated the water to build more gluten, but it seemed very sluggish when kneading the dough. I have yet to try the other attachments or other speeds but this is the experience of had so far. It's a good product and makes things a lot easier considering it is refurbished. It's doing the job. I'm just worried about the motor.

Depends On Your Baking Needs
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It is a reasonably functional mixer intended for occasional dough making. If you make mostly cookies, whip cream, or do not otherwise need to use the dough hook, this will be a fine mixer. Same if you do not make bread or pizza dough more than a couple of times per month. This handles dough passably well, but nothing like machines that are designed more for dough than cookies or pastries. We make bread almost daily and though the dough is okay, it is not as good as a dedicated or purpose built mixer that is designed for dough. I bought this refurbished at less than half the full retail price, and at that price point I think it is a bargain. If I had to pay full price I would save up to get a professional mixer.

I'm very happy with the quality of the purchase, in no way could you tell this was a refurbished unit, it looks and operates like a brand new model. It has been great for mixing bread dough! I would highly recommend a KitchenAid refurbished model, especially if you are looking for great KitchenAid quality and features on a budget.

Terrible, can't mix anything
This is the worst product in my kitchen, everything I have tried to mix with it is ruined, ruined two cheesecakes, a batch of cookies, a chocolate mousse cake, and a tiramisu. Nothing mixed properly, I'd have more success mixing with a pair of chopsticks.
