I bought 5.5 qt Stand Mixer that was refurbished 30 years ago. It's still going strong and I run her hard kneading bread and mixing cookie dough. I have had to replace the gear twice, but it's a DIY task with some instructions!
Unfortunately Not as Good as the Old Model!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was really excited to purchase the Lift Stand Mixer model after having an old Kitchen Aid for many years. However, the bowl is a little tricky to get off of the stand and the mixer attachments can be difficult to put on as well. My old model was much more user friendly but unfortunately it has a broken lock mechanism so we got this new model instead.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had a smaller KitchenAid Artesian Stand Mixer for years but lost it in my divorce. After nine months without this necessary appliance I replaced it with a larger KitchenAid Lift Stand Mixer. I love everything about it, from color and capacity to price and features. Baking is fun again.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this as a Christmas gift. It was for my girlfriend who loved it when she received it. Unfortunately she was super disappointed when opening the mixer to find that the paddle attachment was already chipping. The coating has what appears to be bubbles under the coating causing it to flake off in those areas.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My gosh! You kidding me? I have been able to do alot more with my cakes and pies because, it has no problem mixing the dough. My break dough is totally mixed proper! My only question is, why did I wait so long? I am a chef, I should know better. Just as good as in the restaurant equipment.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The refurbished mixer has been working out amazingly! I’ve made cinnamon rolls twice, and had to use the hook attachment for ~30 minutes straight, and the bowl lift model handled it like a champ- no walking, no overheating. I don’t know how I’ve made it 40 years without one of these. We make a lot of bread, which is why we decided on the bowl lift style. After borrowing a friend’s tilt head model, I can confidently say we made the right choice. Hers jumped and overheated a little, overall a bit less robust. I was worried I wouldn’t like the look as much, but I prefer it in that way too. It looks classic, like it belongs on a counter in a bakery. 10/10, would recommend to anyone making breads.
Not the same.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Lately all the kitchen aid mixers I have bought, gifts and for myself, are just not what they used to be. Lots of the paddles are not aligned, the bowls jiggle violently, the ceramic or enamel coating on the beaters and paddle begin to chip off within months - and I do hand wash them only. Everytime I have a baking project now I go back to the mixer my parents got 25 years ago. It’s so quiet, the paddle always scrapes everything, it mixes all batters and frostings so evenly. I’ve bought 2 new mixers out of the box and 2 refurbished mixes this year, as well as head tilt and the bowl lift kinds. I just never thought I wouldn’t be able to get a mixer of the same quality as my parents.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought it to help making bread. I have found many uses for this machine, mixing cookies and baked goods. I've had fun with it. This is my third mixer, the first was my parents, the second I sold to my Sister when I wasn't using it all that much. This one is my first non tilt head, I appreciate bringing the bowl up to the mixer head versus the head to the bowl. This is the biggest mixer I have owned and it's the most powerful. I plan on getting the pasta attachment to make homemade pasta. I also plan on getting the ground meat attachment. As for the Refurbished, It was the same price as the tilt head 5q mixer. It looks brand new and still came with a parts and services warranty. Overall I can't tell the difference between this mixer and a new one. I have used it multiple times, 2 to 3 times a week for 3 weeks (6 to 9 times) and it works just like it's brand new.
Good replacement for an elderly soldier.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this a month ago and it works as expected. First use the beater was too far from side of bowl and left a big coating of cookie dough on bowl. Then I found the directions for adjusting the bowl height and raised the bowl just enough. Egg beater tool supplied is the 7 wire model rather than the 13 wire model, it won't make thick whipped cream, surely not stiff peaked egg whites! Purchased this because our family had a model G that was purchased in 1942 and served us faithfully until this summer, 2024.
