The One Purple Shampoo I love brass… in my house, not your hair. I wanted to create a purple shampoo that was both great for toning and also sulfate-free because I've always had a hard time finding that combo. If you like ashier tones, you can use this every time you shampoo. If you want more neutral tones, use it every other time you shampoo to balance out unwanted brassiness. It can be used with or without The One Purple Conditioner. And yes, this shampoo can be used on color treated or naturally blonde hair. One and done.
How to: 1. Depending on the thickness of your hair, apply a dime to quarter-sized amount of shampoo into your palm.
2. Apply to wet hair, massaging into the scalp to create a rich lather.
3. With purple shampoo you want to make sure you apply more product where you see more brass. I like to let it sit a little longer toward the top where hair is less porous and tends to be warmer in tone (2-3 min), then I let it run down through the ends where it's more porous for less time (1-2 min).
4. Rinse well and follow with conditioner. Tip: If ever you go overboard and your hair gets too ashy for your liking, just shampoo once with The One Signature Shampoo to remove one level of tone.

This product was great. It got rid of the brassiness in my hair and will extend the time between trips to the salon. However, I learned that my hair pulls color very well and now some of the blonder spots in my hair have a slight purple tint. It is not that noticeable. I have started to use this product once a week and mixing equal parts of the purple shampoo with my regular everyday shampoo. My hair is shiny and looks healthy after using this product twice.
This has been the most effective purple shampoo I have used in the past three years. It's almost too effective. If I use it more than once a week my hair has a very obvious lavender tint to my hair (which is perfectly okay with me, but my managers sometimes get snippy).
It's perfectly hydrating and I love that it's cruelty free. The only thing I don't absolutely love is that the texture is very gelatinous. It doesn't foam up into a lather as much as I would like and I feel like I have to use more than I should have to in order to get my hair clean.
At first I thought this was too greasy for my hair and left my hair on the heavier side.... I then stopped using and tried a few other purple shampoos that were very drying. After using a clarifying shampoo, I gave this a go again... it isn’t too greasy, just the right amount of moisture to make you hair shine... new found love. I use it once every 3/4 days with a silver daily conditioner by overtone
Amazing! My hair gets very brassy between coloring. Used for first time this morning and my hair looks like I just had it re-touched. Could not believe results after drying my hair this am. Very happy with product. I let shampoo sit for 3 min and conditioner for 3 as well. Would prob use 2x week
I was looking for a more cost efficient (yet hair healthy) alternative to the higher end shampoos and conditioners I usually use. As a naturally dark brunette, my blonde always pulls warm and gets brassy without proper care. After two washes with this shampoo, all my brass was gone! I also bought the conditioner on a whim, which I was skeptical about. I was surprised with how smooth and manageable it made my hair. I’m not crazy about the scent, but it’s not bad enough to be a deterrent - definitely tolerable for the results. I’d highly recommend this combo to any natural brunette struggling to keep her brassy blonde brass-free!
I’ve used soooo many purple shampoos and nexus is the only one that I trust. I bought this because I use the shampoo and everything else. I washed once with it and it was a bit better then did it again and it ashy my blonde so it’s platinum and left the rooted area still somewhat brassy. I go for white blonde not platinum. Against the ashy you can see purple tint. Ugh not cool dude. I washed with the reg shampoo like it said on the bottle if you wanna reduce the ashy parts and then loaded my hair up with straight cholesterol to restore the moisture and added protection then I plan to re wash with the reg shampoo or else I have to make a trip to my stylist. Do not use ladies
I have used so many purple shampoos and this one is seriously a miracle. It has been really hard for me to get rid of the brass tones in my hair with out spending a fortune and after ONE use my hair has been transformed I let it sit for about a minute or two for the first wash because I wasn’t sure if it would work well. I can not believe I have gone this long without this shampoo. Life changing highly recommend , I can tell after a couple uses I may only need to use this every other wash or once a week it works so well. Not to mention smells amazing! Highly recommend
