I Came Crawling Back...

(Black Brown, it looks like a perfectly fine soft black, not grey or solid brown.) I have been trying out other mascaras, but I went back to this one and it was like reuniting with an old friend. I learned better tricks to make mascara work and now this one is perfect. I curl my lashes really well to avoid straight angled spider lashes, and I pump the wand aggressively before applying to warm up the product. I also soak the tube in warm water every now and then to melt the product back into shape, pumping the wand afterward to stir it up. This really helps eliminate clumps, and I always do this or at least run it under the tap with hot water to warm it up before an important event. It helps to work quickly and have a lash comb available too. I just wore this out in super hot daytime weather and to a really late show that I cried at, and I didn’t have a problem with it budging even when the curl in my lashes wore off, and I don’t buy the waterproof. However, I do find it comes off easily enough with a make-up wipe, so you can be gentle with your lashes and keep them healthy. Maybe a more expensive product would work better, or have a better formula, but I love this. And Target and L’Oreal both do really nice sales on it a lot, I got mine a whole 25% off. I really think it’s worth it to learn how to work with a cheap mascara, because this rocks.

I usually have to buy expensive brands (double the price of this) because I have sensitive eyes. Works as well, and in some ways better than those others. It does not irritate my eyes nor flake at all. Lasts all day with minimal smudges—would take effort to smudge. I do use the waterproof if I know it’s going to be a potentially smudgy day (swim, heavy sweat, eye dabbing). This is a great profit the price!!!

This mascara started off good enough. The las length was really nice. The curve of the wand took some getting used to as the mascara placement feels uneven. Then after only about 3 weeks of use this became clumpy and difficult to apply. I was spending too much extra time arranging my lashes to make this mascara worth using.

Our new caring formula is infused with floral oil so lashes feel conditioned and soft to the touch. The ultra-soft wavy brush catches every lash for dense, fuller-looking lashes. For gentle removal, saturate a cotton pad with a micellar water, hold the pad over the lashes for a count of 10 and gently wipe. Leaving the soaked pad over the lashes a few seconds will soften the mascara so it comes off easily. I was SO happy when I found this mascara years ago. I was not blessed with the longest or thickest lashes in the world but this mascara made them look amazing. However, the formula must have changed at some point because the tube seems to dry out very very fast and doesn’t go on like it should. Very disappointed and wish they would bring back the old formula because it was PERFECT!
