I was looking for a basic, not-digital slow cooker, and this one fits the bill. After reading reviews of other crockpots, I decided to go for this one which didn’t have any reviews and was more expensive than the others. I think what brought me was that the description said “ceramic and stainless”, and I’m not sure what that means. The base is ultra light because it is clearly made of aluminium, and yes, the pot is ceramic that feels pretty heavy & high quality. Unless they are referring to the trimmings on the edge of the lid, I have no idea what they mean by “stainless”. It is super easy to use, with 3 temperature settings, warm, slow, & high. I’ve only used it once to simmer lamb shank to make borscht, and it worked just as expected. 6 lbs of lamb shank with the bone took 5 hours on slow to cook to perfection, and the broth was very flavourful. Slow cookers are a foolproof way preserve the collagen when making meaty bone broths, so I’m anticipating to be using this at least twice a month. As far as value, I think it is pricey and only time will tell if its durability was worth the cost.

Beautiful item but does not cook or takes 10+ hours to get something done on high.

I love the beautiful print on this slow cooker. It looks lovely on my counter. I especially love that the insert comes out for thorough cleaning.
