I put up a tan panel awhile back. It filtered the light but was nowhere near 'black out'. After having for awhile I decided to wash it. I followed the label instructions and washed with cold water and dried on low. I took it out of the dryer and the white backing on the curtain was all stuck to itself and shredded looking in places. It looks like it started to melt and got stuck to itself. I'm still sorting through the rest of the load to make sure the white pieces of whatever this chemical is didn't stick onto anything else, but the curtain was completely ruined. I can understand if I had dried it on a hot setting, but this was on low. Frustrating!
