Q: Hi I would like someone to please specify if these 3 pack of bottles actually come w 3 nipples too bc I'm confused by what I see in the picture and what I read in the description . Please answer me asap !!

  • A: I also did not get nipples in mine!

submitted byMarisol - 3 years ago
  • A: The description for this product says: INCLUDES THREE 5oz anti-colic baby bottles including three slow flow nipples appropriate for newborn babies. That is slow flow, not medium flow. I believe the 5 oz bottles come with slow flow and the larger bottles come with medium flow.

Q: Do these bottles shed microplastics? if so at what rate?

submitted by Nate - 2 years ago
  • A: There is no legislation nor standardized test method dealing with microplastics. Up till now MAM polypropylene (PP) bottles have not been tested for microplastics particles. MAM baby bottles are extensively tested according to the standards and regulation in place (EU,China, USA, Brazil)and comply or exceed the relevant requirements (overall migration, specific migrations,non-intentionally added substances-NIAS) Additional to the requirements set by the legislation, MAM Baby Bottles are evaluated in everyday usage conditions-after extensive cleaning and heating procedures (boiling, microwave heating) to get evidence that no substances of concern are migrating. Furthermore together with other renowned companies, MAM is involved in research work, where MAM Baby bottles have been tested for hormone activity, cytotoxicity, genotoxicty, and no reason for any safety concern was detected.

Q: Hello. Is there a specific warmer I should purchase to use with these bottles? Will the Baby Breeza warmer work with these bottles? Thank you in advance.

submitted by Hensy - 2 years ago
  • A: Hi there! Thank you for your question! Our bottles can be warmed in a bottle warmer, under hot running water, or in a container of heated water after removing the protective dust cap. After heating, be sure to stir thoroughly to distribute heat evenly. If you are heating by using a bottle warmer, allow the standing time recommended by the bottle warmer manufacturer and test the temperature before serving. In our instructions, we recommend wrapping a cloth or towel around the bottom of the bottle and shaking to absorb any excess water after warming. We also recommend tightening the lower portion of the bottle after warming. Any bottle warmer that fits a wide bottom bottle should work. Please let us know if you have any further questions!

Q: If the mam level 1 nipple is too slow for my baby and the level 2 nipple is too fast is there an in between nipple size I could be using?

submitted by Carebear2007 - 3 years ago
  • A: Hi there! When you see nipples begin to collapse and/or your baby biting/tearing at the silicone nipple, it is time to switch to a faster flow nipple because baby is not getting enough to satiate their appetite. If your baby seems to be overwhelmed by the flow rate of the nipple, try reducing the amount of liquid in the bottle to slow it a bit. Thank you for your question!

Two things that prevent me from giving these bottles 5 stars. However, let me start by saying that I received a sample 4.7 oz bottle with newborn nipple and it was a life saver! I thought that after trying many bottles on my breastfeed baby who rejected every one, that the mam would be the same. Surprise! He took it!! So here we are thinking that mam bottles are it, and so I order these bottles with the faster nipples. To my DISAPPOINTMENT the faster nipples are not the same as the newborn nipples!!! They are much larger/wider and even though my baby needs faster flow he will NOT take the larger nipple!!! Why did they do that?!? And what a waste of money. My other complaint that takes away a star is the same as others, the measurements stop at 2 oz so you never know exactly how much your little one eats if they finish below that line. This is pretty important when you are giving a small amount of breast milk to test the nipple.

Purchased these for my 3 week old to start supplementing with a few oz of formula each feeding. Baby seems to like the nipple on these bottles and latches well, but I didn’t realize the measurements start at 2oz. This is very unhelpful when we’re giving her just 1 oz at a time. Why not start measuring at 0??

I’ve never had a leak problem unless I was in a rush to my screaming baby and did not line up/screw the ends on correctly. 100% new mom error, not dysfunctional bottles in my experience. Absolute game changer for gas! The only shaped nipple he is able to get a good latch easily on cuz my dude has negative level patience. I will say, it does take a little more time getting used to considering there are extra parts to these. I started putting them back together once sterilized/dry to make sure they’re always ready when time comes. I even prefill the water in a couple bottles at night so all I have do is scoop the powder in and shake. Voila! Wish i figured this out 8 months ago but now I know for next baby (if we are so lucky!) also, not good for bottle warmers. Plastic is too thick and the seam on the bottom allows for hot water to seep in and thus drips. I heated water in an Avent or any squishy plastic bottle first then poured into Mam when using the bottle warmer. Glad most of the ones he didn’t like ended up being useful for something I guess… Flow on teets 1 were perfect for my newborn after 1 mo. That’s when we first tried Mam so prob Preemie for under 1 mo is my suggestion. He moved to 2 around 4 months and moved to 3 about 7 months. Currently 9 mos today and he still uses 3. I started to notice him drinking a lot slower so I knew it was time to move up. The blue Mam sippy cup with detachable handle seems to be proving perfect for his water and he loves it. Super easy to hold and the flow is perfect. I did start him with water at 6 mos on a 1 nip first, then 2 before giving him sippy cups and seemed to work well. We love Mam brand in this house.

Learn how to assemble correctly

5 out of 5 stars
Would recommend
Jazmin - 1 month ago
We love these bottles! I agree with other reviewers that they CAN leak but once you know how to assemble them correctly, it won't be a problem. Two main reasons for leakage: (1) The plastic piece at the bottom of the bottle has holes in it. There is also silicone ring that sits inside that bottom plastic piece. This design is what makes these bottles anti colic, however, if it not set properly, the bottle will leak from there. We use the smaller plastic ring, that goes around the nipple, to push the silicone ring down snug enough inside the bottom plastic piece; this ensures a tight fit so the formula/milk can't get through the holes. Another issue may be (2) the bottle itself (where the measurements are) is a seperate piece and screws to both the bottom and the top. If you assemble them crooked/lopsided or not tight enough, there will be leakage. Take your time in learning how to assemble correclty. Once you figure it out, it's easy to set up the bottles without having any leakage. Pros: Easy to clean and put together (no straw!!), easy to sterilize using a microwave (comes in handy when travelling), nipple design, anti colic Cons: Missing 1 oz line on the bottle. We noticed with some of the nighttime feedings, she wasn't drinking her whole bottle, and we had to pour the remaining amount in the cap (that is where is has the 1 oz measurements) to figure out how much she wasn't drinking. It may seem silly, and now that she sleeps through the night it's not an issue anymore, but it's very important to make sure your newborn is being fed enough. This just felt like an unecessary step due to the design of the bottle. Wouldn't stop me from purchasing again though.

I agree with majority of the reviews here. This bottle does leak if not properly screwed on and lined up right. And the flow is too fast for an infant. However, I started with dr browns preemie nipples flow for my baby and after about almost 3 weeks we noticed he was really fussy while feeding and needing to burp after only a few sucks. We realized maybe it was time to switch him to a faster flow. These work perfectly for him now. He burps easily and the flow does not choke him but we only use the number one nipples even though I have the set that goes up to two. If you take your time to make sure the bottle is on properly and your baby is using the right nipple they work great.

I like the nipple design but unfortunately The bottle leaks from the bottom and from somewhere near the nipple leading to wasted formula and as other users have noted the flow is too fast causing gas and hiccups . I can already see keeping there clean will be an issue with all these different parts. Will be returning these.

the lid screws on crooked and it’s not super noticeable. you have to hold it up and try multiple times to screw the lid on perfectly. so milk leaks all over the baby while feeding and the bottom also leaks half the time as well. flow is too fast for infants. instant hiccups and belly aches after a feed with this bottle

I spent an absurd amount of money trying to make sure I had the best bottles for my baby girl. Yup. Tossed them all. Mam was the only brand she likes in bottles and pacifiers and they’re adorable and great quality. That’s all she used until she came off the bottle at 12 months. The nipple had a great flow and comfortable fit for her mouth and palette

Whoever designed this must never had a rough night of nursing. Every other bottle we own is not this complicated. I had milk leak through the bottom, because at 3 am I didn't realize one of the bottom parts wasn't completely sealed. Tried to fix my mistake on the next one, and still leaked. Not friendly to someone trying to feed at night. oh, and the whole "made from less plastic" and good for the environment crap is rich. the recycle number on the bottle says "15 pp". My local recycling doesn't do anything higher than 4, and I didn't even know there were recycling labels that high.
