Q: What's the difference between cosmic black and very black?

A: I think the "Target brand expert" meant that Very Black has a *waterproof* version, but Cosmic Black does not. Maybelline describes Cosmic as having "intense black pigments" with "more depth & shine".

A: Hi Stasi! This mascara comes in two washable and two waterproof shades. The waterproof shades will be best removed with a makeup removing wipe or micellar water. While their isn't a physical curve to this brush, the Flex Tower mascara brush reaches every lash. Hope this helps!

This waterproof formula is virtually impossible to remove. I tried first with my regular Cetaphil face wash, and wasn't too alarmed when it refused to budge because sometimes waterproof formulas require an oil. I did become alarmed when vitamin E oil did pretty much nothing. I tried rubbing the oil gently onto my lashes but all that happened that first time is that a clump of lashes detached and I know have an obvious gap in my lash line. It eventually came off but I'd never want to endure such a process again. And, to top it all off, the mascara only looked so-so. Never again!

This mascara does a good job of lengthening and darkening my stubby lashes, but it is nearly impossible to remove. Even after makeup remover and washing my face I still find it on my lashes & eye area the next day. I had to double check that I hadn’t bought the waterproof version - I had not.

Not a big fan of it, it's good if you're gonna go to the beach or something because of how it's waterproof (i bought the waterproof one) and it's very clumpy. It's also very hard to take off even if I use oil. Some of my lashes even end up falling sometimes. Maybe the non waterproof one is better, but waterproof is not the best tbh

i’m so upset seeing my eyelashes fall out every time i use this waterproof mascara. it’s over 100 degrees right now in arizona so i need a water proof one, but man yesterday about 3 of my eyelashes came off & now today 2 more are off. I never have eyelashes fall off when i use the none waterproof Maybelline sky high. i have natural long eyelashes and this mascara really brings out my long lashes but i don’t think i’ll be using the water proof anymore bc of this. it’s also hard to take off, i have to use lotion sometimes to take off bc my Garnier water rose doesn’t help sometimes.
