I'd heard amazing things about this and really wanted to like it. Unfortunately my makeup immediately started flaking off. I tried it multiple ways and it still did it. Also noticed a slight burning around my eyes which has never happened with my other products

While many rave about this product, I found it was not for me. It doesn't sit well under my makeup. My foundation would ball up when I applied it over this primer.

This is hands down the best primer I have ever used. Make sure you give it some time to dry before applying your makeup.

I've been really impressed by this primer so far! I have an oily T zone, and live in an area that can get hot and humid, and work 12 hr shifts. All that translates into an essentially neverending search for products that look good, feel good, and hold up to the harsh conditions. 😂 This is one of two primers I've ever tried that noticeably extend the wear time of my makeup (and that other primer is no longer produced, of course). Not sure what's up with some of the reviews commenting on a horrific smell (maybe an odd bad batch, or expired product?), but to me, the product has no scent at all. Imediately upon application, the product feels moisturizing, but with spreading/rubbing it, it turns tacky-feeling. Hence the "Hydro Grip" name. I will say that the tackiness is not a pleasant sensation for me, but knowing it serves a purpose helps (plus, it really isn't noticeable after makeup is applied). Personally, I like the velvet feel and blurring effect of primers with a creamy whipped texture. Expecting a pilling disaster, I tried mixing the Iconic London Velvet Smooth primer with the Milk Hydro Grip primer - and was pleasantly shocked that I got my Goldilocks "just right" primer. Hydrating, pore blurring, and makeup gripping.

The product is way smaller than the picture. Product is not that good for the price

The product does the job, but it smells like horse and fish mixed together. If it smelled different I would give it 5 stars.

Based on other reviews, this may not work for everybody, but it is my favorite primer! I have mainly oily skin, some dryness here and there, and this primer keeps my makeup lasting all day! I don't have ance-prone or sensitive skin so I can't speak to that, but if you don't either this could work for you.

It blurs skin and grips makeup.

I don't know if anyone else has had this problem but mine smells awful. It smells like a lady's privates if she was sick and nasty? When I first put this on I freaked out because I thought something was wrong with my body. Nope just the product.

Once I saw Ulta had this available I was super excited to try it out! It works great and makes your makeup hold up good, but if you have acne prone skin I would suggest staying away from this and finding a primer made for acne prone skin. I started using this and began to breakout, more than usual and I can say the only thing that has changed is which primer I was using so this was the culprit... I have discontinued use and went back to my old primer and my skin is clearing up. It's a good primer just not the best for those who's skin is prone to acne in my opinion.

I wanted to love this, but am pretty disappointed. I like the feel, and it does seem to be hydrating, but i am finding that by the afternoon, if I touch my face, my makeup rolls off in spots. It never did that before using the Milk Primer and the hydro grip set and refresh makeup setting spray. I also wish Ulta would allow people to see 1 and 2 star reviews. Hiding them doesn't give people a clear view into what might be common problems.

I received a sample size of this as a gift for buying other Milk products, but I'm definitely buying the full size. I never liked using primers bc they make my skin feel weird … but this is just different… Feels like a gel creme, and definitely helped the rest of my makeup stay on alll day!

Best primer I've used!! I have combination skin, the formula is hydrating but not overly heavy. And doesn't leave my skin feeling stick or greasy.

My skin looks so dull and dead in winter so I love this for bringing me back to life and giving me that kind of sunny look that feels like summertime. To me the scent is subtle but I really like that too. Honestly it's such a must have when it's cold and dry out or if you're in a dry place

This actually keeps my makeup looking fresh all day! Very little rub off throughout the day. I put it on and let it dry a few minutes before applying makeup.

Definitely will be buying again! Feels really good on the skin and dries pretty quick.

I'm so happy MILK is finally at Ulta! This primer is my absute favorite 10/10. Makes my makeup last my entire 11 hour shift at work - I will ALWAYS repurchase
