Setting up Mint Mobile was actually very easy and I'm glad transferring my number ended up being a smooth process. As far as the service goes, it's complicated. When I have service, it actually works really well and I've had service in places when my husband didn't (he has a different provider). But I have gotten very annoyed with the service recently. I do get service at my house (I'm typing this review in my bed with only mobile data turned on), it works in every room and outside, but it really likes to just randomly go out. For example, I would be sitting in our kitchen on my phone (again, I do get service in my whole house) and my phone would do one of the following: have bars with no 4G, have bars with 4G but no arrows, have bars with an E (with arrows) instead of 4G, have bars with a slashed out E (no arrows), have bars with an R (with arrows), or no bars at all with an X. Any one of those will happen whether I'm picking up my phone to use it or while I'm actively using my phone (normally it's latter). And usually, the no bars with an X is the one I get the most. I do only get one bar of service where I live, but that one bar actually works very good. . . when it decides to actually work!

The biggest issue I have is that my phone will say I have 5g uc speed and I'll do a speed test and it shows I only have 1. 25megabits download speed and 1 megabit upload speed. But you claim to have 5g high speed internet.

I get one bar in my home. I was on with support and they told me there some work being done in my area but apparently that was a lie because weeks later bI still only get one bar. So sorry I paid for the year or I would cancel after one month.

Told me I had unlimited plan, when I questioned I read both data and hot spot were limited rep told me that information was old and did not apply to the plan I was purchasing. Signed on and 2 days into service I get a message you exceeded your 10gig hot spot limit. Prior survey I asked for the hot spot to be recharged and now you want another survey?

In most cases I am happy with Mint, but there have been occasions the call coverage isn’t as good as claimed. Also, more recently when trying to use data my browser freezes for a few seconds or the page doesn’t load (but this is rare).

It's everything that you advertise. You need a better description of how to install the sim card in older phones, however. The video wasn't descriptive enough. It is upside down from ATT, it took me time to figure that out. I even had to shave it down with a razor blade to properly fit. But the reception is better than ATT. We love it, and we love saving money! Nice job, I'm glad we took the leap.

A couple times every day, my phone disconnects and can no longer receive or make calls until I restart it. If I don’t see the notification that it disconnected, people don’t have a way to call me until I realize I need to restart. When it does work, the service is good. Internet usage works well
