A: It means the little button on the front just switches on and off, that's it. You cannot program this model to turn on (delay brew) with a timer.

Well, to begin with...it does make a halfway decent cup of coffee, and I like the fact that the cycle time is four hours long, instead of the usual two hours. Amazingly, the coffee does not get that burnt taste, even after four hours. My problem is this: Mr. Coffee had always taken great pains to make their products ambidextrous...until now. This unit, instead of the lid opening from front to back, it opens from right to left, which limits where you can place it. The carafe, which always had the cup lines, numbers, and wording on both sides, now only has them on one side. It was clearly designed for right handed people. Also, it is very messy, and needs to be cleaned much more frequently than any other coffee maker I have previously owned. Overall, I give it a 5 out of 10...let's see how long it lasts. 🥴👈

I have nothing to compare this to as it’s my first ever drip machine. I bought an inexpensive one just to test out if I like the drip method. This is I’m assuming as basic as it gets, no frills. The water filter wore out after about 6 months so I’ll have to get a replacement. Almost $30 now, I got it for closer to $20 back in August. I don’t know that I would have bought it for the first time at the new price.

I have bought several SMALL coffee makers which always spilled when I poured my morning coffee. This coffee maker has the option of making a large pot (when we have a group over) or a small amount of coffee (for me every morning). And it poured perfectly - no spilling. Also - I love the unique designed opening at the top where you add the water easily from the side without working around the hinged area where the top closes. Great design. I love it!!

The glass used to make the carafe is dangerously thin! The first time I used a washcloth and dish soap to clean it, the spout and the glass around it broke off in my hand. (No injury, but there could have been!) I was washing it as I've washed Mr. Coffee carafes for decades. The poor quality of glass is unacceptable, and it's a lawsuit waiting to happen.

I should have read the reviews prior to buying this because all the 1-2 stars rating was legitimate. This coffee make is absolute trash. It makes coffee taste like water no matter how little water you add and how much grounded beans added. While the on and off switch is convenient, the fact that this doesn’t have auto warming capabilities is non sense. I immediately returned it. Save yourself time and DO NOT get it!

Worked great for a year and then the switch stopped working. We fixed it the first time and it broke immediately after again so will probably toss it since the warranty is expired by 2 months. Will spend more money on a better machine next time.
