Q: the description says it makes coffee "including the perfect crema." does this mean it uses milk?

A: Thanks for your inquiry, Jimmy. The layer that forms on top of each brewed coffee is a combination of coffee and air called the crema and is naturally created during the extraction process. Crema is a sign of high-quality coffee and has been a signature feature of our espresso. It does not contain any dairy or additives and will gradually subside as you enjoy your coffee. A: Thanks for your inquiry, Jamie. It is normal for all Nespresso machines to make some noise during operation. Please keep in mind the following factors that may be contributing to the noise: • New machines with brand new pumps will produce less noise over time. • If operating without water in the tank, the pump will be louder. • A capsule in the capsule chamber will dampen the noise of the pump. • The machine should be stable, with four rubber feet on the bottom. If any rubber feet are missing, it may cause an abnormal vibration. • The ideal surface for the machine should be solid and flat such as hard wood or a granite countertop. I absolutely love my Vertuo! I love that we have the option to make the larger pods condensed into a double espresso- it gives you so many options! The noise is quite quiet and won’t have you wondering why everyone in your house is suddenly awake. Cleaning is super straightforward, I just descale every few months. The only thing I find is that sometimes where the pods are inserted can have some coffee/water buildup so just be cautious and wipe with paper towel if you need to

Machine was a gift. Enjoyed initially......then the red light of doom plagued me, even after working my way through the incomprehensible blinking light instructions. Sad part is the lights don't tell you it's time to descale....it shuts down until you do so. Note: I am rating the machine, not the quality of the coffee when it's working properly

Most finicky machine ever. At least once a week my machine will blink red that the water reservoir is empty when it is full and secured in place, takes forever to get it working again and no rhyme or reason to it. Not to mention the money wasted on pods that have been punctured but won’t brew and I end up having to buy a coffee anyways.

My daughter gave me this machine a year ago in August for my birthday and I had loved it because it had never failed me at all until this week - a little over a year only and it stopped drawing water from the reservoir. So disappointed. I have never any other kind of water except reverse osmosis water but a friend has suggested that i try to poke around the lines to see if something might have lodged in it - maybe I will - when I’m done recuperating from surgery. In the meantime - I am craving coffee.

This machine is such a disappointment. I’ve had it for more than a year. It’s cute, but it is very unreliable. It often takes several attempts and even several wasted pods to get it to brew. And literally all I’m doing is opening, closing, un-plugging, adjusting the water filter, and then for some unexplained reason, it will eventually brew. For a while it was brewing the wrong amount, but I figured how to reset that, so that’s improved, at least. I’m a big Nespresso fan, but I do not recommend this machine. The Vertuo Evoluo was a much better machine for a good 7 or 8 years before it gave up, and then I made the mistake of getting this one.

This is hands down my favorite coffee maker for home use! I can make lattes and cappuccinos in under 5 minutes and it tastes so good! So many different pods options to choose from, high quality machine and super easy to use! I love that it automatically removes the old pod to another compartment, making it super easy to clean and remove old pods. Pro tip: for drinks that use milk/creamer, bianco doppio is the best pod!

Coffee is amazing, when it works. I use the Nespresso descaler and cleaner and still have issues with my machine. I can never use two pods in a row, there has to be at least 3 minutes in between pods, unlike a Keurig. It overheats SO frequently that I am so close to just throwing it away. That’s how frustrated I am with it. Today, which is what has caused me to write this review, I haven’t used this thing in days, and the very first pod makes it overheat. Ridiculous.
