Inspired by a dermatologist-recommended regimen for clear skin, the Neutrogena Stubborn Acne AM Treatment & Stubborn Marks PM Treatment contains two products to help fight stubborn acne and visibly reduce post-acne marks. This acne treatment kit includes the daytime acne treatment with 2.5% micronized benzoyl peroxide acne medicine, recommended by dermatologists as a first line treatment, to penetrate deep into pores and help eliminate stubborn acne breakouts at their source. Designed to support skin's natural exfoliation process, the nighttime mark treatment is formulated with Retinol SA, a stabilized and highly refined form of vitamin A. This treatment helps reverse the look of post-acne marks and scars while smoothing uneven skin tone while you sleep. The treatments are both clinically proven noncomedogenic, which means they won't clog pores, as well as oil, paraben-, phthalate-, dye-, and fragrance-free. The acne treatments can be used daily on freshly cleansed skin.

Directions clean the skin thoroughly before applying this product, cover the entire affected area with a thin layer one to three times daily, because excessive drying of the skin may occur, start with one application daily, then gradually increase to two or three times daily if needed or as directed by a doctor, a if bothersome dryness or peeling occurs, reduce application to once a day or every other day., if going outside, apply sunscreen after using this product. The AM Stubborn Acne Treatment is astonishingly good. (I haven't worked the Stubborn Marks Treatment into my routine yet). This Micronized 2.5% Benzoyl Peroxide is pretty magical. Other Benzoyl Peroxide ointments I've tried, have just burned and dried out the top layer of skin, while leaving my cystic pimples unaffected beneath the surface. This mild, Micronized formula penetrates problem areas and I'm seeing a HUGE improvement, quickly. My breakout zones haven't looked this calm in years - even when my skin is doing relatively well, it still tends to look aggravated and on the verge of a freakout. This light lotion has calmed the inflammation, and allowed existing pimples to cycle out. I still have not experienced a dreaded breakout purge; just an overall calming. I only use this on problem areas: T-zone, jawline and below my cheeks. I've tried it with success on my neck, which is sensitive to chemical burn. Even my post acne marks are much less noticeable because my skin is so much calmer (partly why I have yet to try the PM Stubborn Marks formula) I recommend giving this a shot. I also use the Stubborn Blackhead Serum to help open and unclog pores.

Great product that seems to really help my acne but I bought this two pack for around $24 in September and now it’s $44 for the same products?!?! Make it make sense neutrogena!

I’ve been using this combination for a couple years. I would get deep cystic acne along my jawline every month that would never turn into anything other than painful giant bumps. The benzoyl peroxide is the only thing that has ever worked to get rid of this acne since it kills the bacteria deep into the skin. The retinol PM is not too strong for a retinol, but I still only use is a few times a week and it makes my skin looks smooth and fresh. If I do happen to get a blemish, it heals fast and there is less or no scarring.

I purchased and used this product for well over 3 months. I have been struggling with bad acne for over 2 years. I was really hoping this would help me but it was quite the opposite. I have never had acne as bad or as painful as when I was using this product. It was so bad. Everyday I’d wake up with several large and painful breakouts. I stopped using it and my skin got much better. I do not recommend this product.
