A: Yes, I have blended all of those in this. Like all blenders, it needs liquid. If you are looking for something to blend nuts without adding liquid, I would recommend a food processor.

A: I have found that is not the case, with other Ninja blenders. I have interchaged the cups/jars. I do not know if that is true with this unit, but I have a similar unit with cups that I bought directly from Ninja. That base fits with other (older) cups.

Good function, questionable design.
After using it for a year, here me takeaway. It’s a good blender. It functions well, and is powerful. I’m taking off a star because it’s very loud, louder than a power drill. If you live in an apartment building like me, just know, your neighbors will know every time you’re using the blender. I’m taking off another star because water/liquids get trapped in the lid and there’s absolutely no way to get it out other than swinging the lid as hard as possible as much as you can, and even then you can’t get it all out and you’ll have splatters all over your kitchen. Trapped liquid is a recipe for disaster because that’s a breeding ground for mold and bacteria.

Powerful and Efficient
Absolutely love this blender. My previous blender was weak, and I had to add a lot of liquid to get it to blend. This blender is extremely powerful, and I have had no issues. It goes on sale often at various retailers, so look for sales!

It’s good for special occasions. It’ll start leaking if used frequently. I’ve replaced parts and still leaks. Don’t waste your earning on this.

Way too sharp
The blades are way too sharp. I can't clean it without hurting myself. I have only had it a couple days and it has sliced my finger and my wrist. The second time it was stuck in the dishwasher because of the blades so I had to pull it out and it sliced my wrist. If I had to the box I would be returning this. I've never had a blender so this
