Q: what is the lid made from? Is it air tight?

A: Hello~ The lid for the High Sided Sheet Cake Pan is made of polypropylene and it is not completely airtight. It is intentionally designed to not snap on tightly~ as cake, especially with frosting do better with some exposure to air. It does fit snugly. ~Nordic Ware Consumer Service
